Beautiful shot from such a distance (by the lens used)! Not sure I would change anything. Seeing the eye more would of course be nice but that is animal photography! Get what you can! |

Sharp and beautiful landscape! I took steps in shooting landscapes while in Japan, not as simple as we think. I think snow on mountain tops is especially difficult. I like how the left shore leads into the mountain and of course love the water! |

Gorgeous shot! Love the colors & hue, never been there but it is giving me a great visual reference. The clouds do the trick, I am not sure I would change anything. More or less colors, saturation & contrast are of a personal perception. Wonderful image! |

Hi Karen, curious how you re-constructed the fin? If you don't mind sharing:-) |

Cool pic. reminds me when my children were young:-). The daisies don't bother me, perhaps just the angle - Thinking from a lower angle so the rail would be lined up on the front & back? There seem to be slight line above the train which could be removed. I like the blurriness of the other wagons, could be fun to add a motion blur with PS.

Fun photo to work with, may be even more monotone while keeping the fire hot would work too I think. |

Fun and difficult shot to get the focus spot on. Composing on a flying bird is no small task, I think the people add to the story - I would try to crop the empty space on top and the change from Karen works well for me too. nicely done! |

Hi Bill, I did take a look at @sealegacy and I follow quite a few similar accounts. Most of the time I use a 15 mm fish eye when photographing clients in the water - It is extremely rare to be so close to the whales and thus had decided to use my 16-35 which I have to adapt the housing using an extension on the dome. In this case the current pushed us towards the whales, to the point of being in touching distance. I had to back pedal very slowly to avoid any movement and not scare them away. I do have a few shots from further away but it was a long time dream to being able to be so close and have some close ups. I also have a few shots where you see another swimmer which gives a sense of the mama's size:-). |

Intersting about the tail fin, I will have to look at my original - It is likely cut off. They were close, the calf kept on being playful and moving around and up & down. I was too close at some point, within touching distance and had to back off to try to frame the entire whale. The surface looks calm but we had 5-6' swells so framing them was a lot of fun while going up and down:-) |

Great scene, it really tells the story. I would not change the framing, just thought the image had a bit of noise due to the ISO and perhaps a little too bright. I lowered the exposure, increased the shadows, lowered the vibrance, worked the noise and made it a little sharper. |
