Hi Judy, Never say never:-) I will be posting more for sure, most will contain people as this is what I do on a regular basis and interested in improving that aspect. I do have a some nature shots so will post some of these as well. |

Hi Bob, I m new to PSA and not aware of the competitions. I will take a peek, it sounds a nice way to learn as well. |

Very beautiful shot, I love the light & color. More a question than comment since I rarely shoot architecture but faced the same distortion once while shooting a very large banyan tree using a 15mm (lens I use underwater). My question is on the choice of lens. 14mm being very wide will create some distortion which can be corrected but why not shoot a series of 2-3 photos in vertical mode on a tripod; perhaps with a 20-24 mm and stitch them? It might have allowed to capture a bit more top and bottom of the church without the distortion issue. |

Hi Everyone, thank you for the feedback! I really appreciate it, we live in a very remote place and do not have the opportunity to meet other photographers or enthousiasts to share and learn more.
Judy & Karen, good point and I have a tendency to produce bright photos. It perhaps became a habit as a lot of the work I do for a Japanese company requires bright and colorful photos. I do plan on keeping this photo as well as a few others of the same serie for my own portfolio and will tune down the background a bit:-)
Bob, thank you for pointing out the highlights, I do pay attention to it in lightroom and tend to lower them quite a bit especially when shooting brides wearing white shinny wedding dresses in bright daylight. Good point about the few black rocks & the surf, small details I would not have taken the time to retouch but it does make a difference. |
