Wow, was that a project/challenge for you! I like how you blended images, the sky is nicely done and the foreground wonderful. My mom used to live in Asheville, what a great city! My only suggestion would be to dim the mountains as this is night photography and would make it more realistic. Have a wonderful Christmas and holiday season! |

Those stray marks ... yes, sometimes I wonder about them. I like what you did but I'll have to relook at the time when I have time to see about it. You really cleaned 'em out! |

Exceptional and the addition of the moon and black? birds adds to the mood of the image. Now that LR offers subject masking, I might try to follow you down this pathway and see what develops. Thanks for the inspiration! |

I agree with Nancy's finessing of the lines. A wonderful choice of watercolor and the white border is excellent. You should print this on rice paper! I've tried with watercolor but never had this kind of success. Kudos! |

Rhino't know where to start with this one haha! Your sketching technique is developing well on this animal. Your choice of background treatment provides interesting contrast to the lines and folds on the Rhino. And, you were able to maintain the quality of the reflection. Well done! |

A wonderful conversion from the original and a nice impressionistic rendition. In working from the original, I think you have to decide where you want the light to go - in the original in comes in at top right and flows down to mid left. That's about the only thing I could "pick" on because it is so well done. It is impressionistic after all. |

Ditto on above. The brightness really kicks and the colors are so vibrant. I like the way you framed it too. My mom, a painter, would have really, really like this! Kudos! |

If you're looking for drama, then it's B&W. What I believe you have here are 2 images, not 1: the 2 performers on the left, the 2 on the right. The one at right is boring and (dare I say) staged. The one at left is dynamic, great facial gestures and the outreached arms bring a flow to the image. The background of the light beams enhances the eye flow there. I'd clone the background man out. |

Nice street photography image! I would suggest a tighter crop (see below) since from your description the focal points are the child's eyes and the hands. The crop below has the top 1/3rd line at the child's eyes and the right 1/3rd line along her nose. The crop still maintains the wonderful fabric textures worn by the grandmother in the skirt and apron. The full version of the image tells a story more about the clothing, IMHO. |

A wonderful fall image and just the right amount of blur in the water flow. Good sharpness to the image and DOF. I would suggest cropping in more so the right side of the water "falls" are along the 1/3rd line (example below). |

Catching the blues within the iceberg is wonderful and I like the contrast with the lifejacketed people in the boat too. I would suggest using a luminosity mask to bring more contrast to the sky and background. Dare I say very cool image?! |

Definitely minimalist. Definitely pushes the black way to the left; use your histogram and other sliders (Black and Shadows and Contrast perhaps Dehaze) to adjust to right. You have opted toward the grainy, rough, gritty side - which is a personal choice for outcome and I think you achieved your goal. |

Sanford, the vignette serves a couple of purposes, one of which is to cloud the blur on the edges of the image. |

Sanat, a very good job cropping to the action in this image. I think you nailed the waterfalls water flow! I believe the image is too bitmapped from your processing. I also think that you need more contrast in the image by playing with the Black, Shadow, and Dehaze sliders in LR, then do some dodging and burning to increase the contrasts. IMHO I'd keep the hazy sky. Below is my rendition. |

Very well done, but to my eye it's over sharpened. The river is more dynamic and blue in the final version, which I think is a good touch. I was in Truckee 41 years ago when I was on our honeymoon trip. |

This image is fantastic Quang! My only suggestion would be to clone out the sign at right. My only question: Did the moon illuminate those clouds or did you enhance it? |

Instant fave as I live in rural Wisconsin and love barns. The only thing I don't like about the image is the metal post at bottom right along the fence line. The shadow of the tree on the barn is an added plus! |

John thanks for your kind words. The level line I used is at the very top of the falls. The rock had that upward curve to it. What would you use as the level line within the image? The falls and surrounding foliage were in shadow and I already brightened quite a bit. So by "bit" do you think 5%? |
