"Painting" is what this group is about and for me I take the term with a broad brush. Your venture here is very satisfying and your color choices compliment each other. You definitely have a talent in this genre and I'm sure there are people who would love this hanging on their living room wall. Kudos for your moxy to venture into the unknown and find success! |

This is one of the best watercolors of an ag scene that I have seen! The Z lines are fantastic to capture the viewer's eye and taken them through the image. Why did you make the emerging corn rows yellow? The edging adds to the feel of a watercolor. Excellent rendition! |

A nice composite of textures really makes this structure seem to have a story to tell. I really like the result of the clouds and believe that if you toned down the blue in the sky it wouldn't be so dramatic ... but that said, the way that it is provides a contrast to the structure itself. Depend son your taste. Lovely exercise for stylizing that tempts me to try! |

Prince would have loved this image! I like it too, the painting has packed a punch with its softness and background that draws you into the painting. My only suggestions would be to have more background space at right and left so the petals aren't right up to the edge. |

Really like thee concept you conveyed here! To my eye, I would have darkened the shadows in the rolling swells to emphasize the lines of the wave crests. There's good DOF with the sharpes of the mountains contrasting with the cloud lines. Very well done! |

The sky, lighthouse, small house all look fantastic! I agree with Gary about the fenceline. Why did you choose to put some texture and lighting into the foreground instead of silhouting it? Nice capture! |

The birds look natural to my eye. Sky and water look great but there are too many sea stacks even for a balance to the image. And what is the focal point - maybe that's why you inserted the birds? The rocks look sharp and detailed. |

Awesome vista! I like what Gary did to the foreground and he found a person in a red jacket that gives the image a sense of perspective. To my eye, the river is the leading line to the dark and cloud-filled distance so you could square this off for more impact. Gary also lightened up the mountains but I would have made the shadows a tad darker. A very good image in which there may be a couple of truly impactful photos! |

I like what you did darkening the image for more light-darkness contrast. The shadows are fantastic as are the lines! The sky replacement has the sun in the wrong place -- it should be off the image to the right. Maybe try another sky? At bottom right, I would replace the yellow line of sand as it is a distraction and takes the viewers eye off the camel line. The dark coarse gravel texture contrasts well with the mustard sand. |

This could be on a travel or real estate brochure! Love how the arched bridge in the background connects the canal sides and adds DOF. The wispy clouds are to die for. To my eye the oly thing I would do is to make the shadows darker on the left for more light-dark contrast in the image. Nicely done. |
