Trees on a hill are hard to do something with at times ... I know from firsthand experience! The trees at the 1/3 vertical is excellent placement. I would crop the sky to two fingers width above the tree to match the hill at the bottom. Beyond that, it's really what you want to express -- for me, these images should stir an emotion and that's where the contrasts come in. Do you want to sharpen the trees or keep them soft? Do you want to darken the clouds or not? |

Nice bokeh for the background and you've done everything right for wildlife photography. Perfection in my book! |

I like how you put the person on the 1/3 vertical and the snowflakes are brilliant! My only suggestion would be to crop the top to match the height of the snow at the bottom. Also, the snow could be whiter. Overall, a nice moody image. |

I like the blue and violet tones captured in this shot. Sometimes less is more. I think with the cropping I've included beliew the foreground luminaries fall on the 1/3 vertical line. Wonderful image. |

Beautiful capture! I got one similar at Sleeping Bear Dunes. These kind of images keep me spellbound. The farm (?) scene balances out the large fog cloud and I like the way the trees create a border at the top to bring the viewer's eye back to the farm. |

Sanford, flash mode for WB is cheating the sensor, which has problems with snow and exposure. You don't use a flash, just set WB to flash mode and the snow is whiter as a result. |

Lou, my background is news journalism so I have a tendency to crop to the action of the shot. My cross, you shouldn't have to bear it haha! |

Isn't the amphitheater in the foreground to the middle of the image? Then I would have cut more off the top of the image. Otherwise my eye goes to the shaded area at top. The lower 3/4 of the image I really like and I think you did a great job in sharpening and bringing out the color. By cropping off more of the top you increase the eye circular rotation within the amphitheater, which is a sight to behold. |

Definitely the feel of Old World here. Love the fishermen at left and the runner along the leading line of the image. Sharpness is good. To my eye, there is too much river at right and I would crop it at the telephone pole at the 1/3 grid mark. Nicely processed image! |

The DOF is amazing. Did you focus stack images? The clarity of the lion and the mountain are wonderful! The clouds are nice and fluffy and give a perspective on how high the mountain is. There is a little noise in the middle that Gaussian Blur might alleviate. Definitely an image to hang one one's wall. |

Beautiful town! I like the leading lines and how the roof lines tie things together. Even the sky is exceptional as it helps the viewer's eye back into the scene. Then there's mystery of lies just outside of town to the mountains in the distance. |
