I've heard of NIK's but don't have it. I use presets from Topaz and some Lightroom presets I've picked up here and there. |

I like abstract art. Lot of lines. My only question is that it appears noisy to my eye and I would have smoothed out the image more to push it more into the abstract art side. Nothing wrong with starting with a photo and making it into digital art, IMHO, as I do it often. |

My first thought was that this was an art display in a museum or gallery. Nice PP on the image, IMHO. Textures and backgrounds are so subjective with regards to taste, but I like what you did. Detail on all aspects of the bird are very good. If I liked pelicans, I'd buy a print of this. |

There are a lot of lines and contours in this image, so the fence and hunting blind provide a great contrast to the contours of nature, and the fog, well that's the cream in the coffee. |

I like what you did with bringing out the vista outside the window. Could have also been accomplished shooting HDR. My only question is what is the focus of the image? I think it's the vista and the plane points to it. |

A study in lighting. Nicely done and processed! |

I like the fire on the rim and the darkside is okay with me. I would suggest to put a little more punch into the sky at left. What a vista! |

As to the bottom left if it's water or sky, I don't know. The location is just south of the Great Bear Sand Dunes National Park so it might be the top of one of those dunes. Maybe I should just crop that edge off like Gary did. |

I don't mind you tinkering with my images, I'll learn something! Please keep in mind that my images are principally sold as 4x6 cards and my images are known for bright saturated colors so I'm pushing them - unless it's b&w. I like what you did with the tallest tree; I haven't evolved to masking, brushing things out and cloning. I have to start practicing that. |

A lot of drama here between the clouds and the surging water with the rocks holding it together. Punch up and cleanup that sky and you have an excellent piece of photography! |

I love the layers in this image and the dark background really makes the two front layers pop. To hell with soft lighting with this image, it rocks (pun intended)! To my photojournalist eye you cropped it to the action. You also invite a closer examination of the trees. Your original can be an entirely different image per Gary's recommendations. |

Nice capture! At first I had to look at what you wrote as to where this was because of the smooth water and it appearing like a roadway. I agree with Gary about that bottom (third) white line. Photo makes me want to return to Venetia! |

Very well done! My only question is that tree stump on the right side just above the rock ledge, edit that out? Love lighthouses. |
