I also went for more coloration than what is in the original images to spice it up a bit. |

It's all about the face ... nice capture of a reflective shadow. Did you use texture on it or was that the wall texture? Would make a good Halloween wall piece! The top should be cropped down to where that black mark is slightly above the right eye, IMHO. |

You nailed the water! I like the balance at upper right to lower left with rocks and moss and the cropping gives it a balanced weight. Tip of top right rock is a bit blurry, but besides that, it's a wonderful image! |

Great tips Dick, thank you! What did you do in PS or Lightroom to remove the stem? I didn't think about a polarizer but makes sense just like using one for water shots. |

How would you get rid of the stem? |

You know, I thought the same. But then I looked at the leaves at the bottom and they have a directional line too. I thought that it balanced the one at top left out. Also since the leaf behind the stalk was out of focus, I thought the stalk presented something for balance and at upper left. That was what I was thinking anyway! |

This is a nice challenge. I don't know if you used a tripod, but bookcases need a frame that's even all around. There are other photos within this, like the photo, dish and Good Book or the lower shelf. Maybe I've been looking at too many FB postings by librarians ... If books are your "thing" set up groupings like people do with flowers, you can use themes like philosophy books, murder mysteries, etc. I think that wold be a lot of fun! |

My first impression is that you should have had lighting coming down from the top that would have brightened the stopper and provided some rear illumination. This kind of setup, a lot like jewelry photography, certainly isn't my forte. Nice challenge though and out of your comfort zone, so kudos for trying it! |

Superb job of your perspective shot -- so many angles! Very well processed and the sky adds to its impact. Very well done! |

Nice capture and processing. The cropping is well done though I may have left a little more at right. |

Wow, what a balcony -- I suppose there's quite a vista to see from it! I like the sepia tone for the historic feel. The white vignette also is well done. I would have Photoshopped off the antenna (?) at left on the roof line, but besides that, nice image. |
