Tyler, I agree with Cyndy about the cropping. I would also lighten the shading and then play around with the potential that's in the sky and the sun for colors. You have a lot of good stuff to work with here! |

Birds are again out of my comfort zone. If I shoot birds it's usually during the hunting season! I'm not a food photographer. I think I would have squared this off using the green leaves as your top right balance element. I like the wings a lot! |

Real nice capture! We have Sandhill Cranes here. I would have erased the birds at right and the ones at extreme left so there would be one ring of birds around the Egrets. That would give impact to the image. What's the best time to take a photo? When the opportunity occurs like this! Sometimes you can't help time of day or night. That's why we have PS and Lightroom haha! One question, did you score as well in your round of golf as you did in this photo opp? |

Nice balance, nice water capture and nice coloration in the image. Maybe add a little glow ... This would make a nice impressionist painted image. |

Ditto on what Ian said. Flowers are out of the comfort zone I I really admire those who can capture this niche. I have read about Lensbaby lenses and flower photography and it is intriguing. Those bright edges are a detraction and I wonder if you can reduce the highlights more or use a softbox to diminish the harshness of the light. Compositionally I like what you have done. |

Ian, to answer your question about 5mm. I used on Olympus point-and-shoot camera that I tuck in my pocket during morning walks. I didn't use the zoom feature and I guess the wide lens is 5mm -- didn't know that! Thank you for your kind words!
