21 Jan 25 Reply Glad you like it. Jan 15th
21 Jan 25 Comment Excellent capture, these loons are generally quite elusive and it can be hard to get close enough. I agree also, just needs a tiny more amount of space over the loon's head. Jan 14th
21 Jan 25 Comment I also prefer the original background, perhaps the first version of what Tom posted above but crop out about half of the blank space at the top. But I mu
st admit that the composited background does have some artistic merit.

21 Jan 25 Comment Good nature story, anymore competition judges seem to like images like this better with the subject in action. I would suggest, try to tone the contrast of the water down a bit, I think this would make the duck stand out better. Jan 14th
21 Jan 25 Comment Ron, if you have a plugin such as Topaz Sharpen AI, you should be able to produce a well-sharpened image of both ducks. Great capture of the pair. Jan 14th
21 Jan 25 Comment Welcome to the group, Jim. Great color harmony, really sharp image. I cannot suggest any improvements. Jan 14th
21 Jan 25 Comment Tom, Mike has an interesting comment about the right hand chick. Another suggestion would be to use Photoshop's Content Aware Move to place the third chick beside its siblings, closer to the parent bird's foot. Jan 14th

21 Jan 25 Reply Thanks Tom, and good luck in your trip. Lyonia Preserve is not far from I-4 about halfway between Orlando and Daytona Beach. Jan 9th

44 Jan 25 Reply You may be right there, Brad, but I tend to like these vibrant colors (I've heard this before about my green in a judging). Jan 26th
44 Jan 25 Reply Thanks Max. Jan 24th
44 Jan 25 Reply Thanks Rick. Jan 18th
44 Jan 25 Comment Thanks Rick. I was there at the end of June, so yes, I should adjust the color of the left tree more towards green, and really yes, the pole should come out, it appears to cut the image in half. Jan 16th
44 Jan 25 Reply Thanks Rick! Jan 14th
44 Jan 25 Comment Good color and detail. I would have liked to see the next image where you say the dog is behind the sheep flock. Right now, I cannot see the dog. (There is something white above the flock on the left side, I cannot tell what it is.) Jan 14th
44 Jan 25 Comment Well done Bill. But the tallest part of the structure on the left slants very slightly to the right, needs a little bit more perspective distortion there. Did you get another image of this part of the structure from a straight on perspective, this looks interesting but you cannot see much from this angle. Jan 14th
44 Jan 25 Comment Mo, I don't quite understand the procedure you used to create this image. Is this an IR capture and what IR conversion was used on the camera you shot this with? What filter if any did you use on the lens? A color IR image usually shows up with a dark blue sky, so did you convert the sky to B&W? I like this image but wish I know more about how you created it. Jan 14th
44 Jan 25 Comment Well done, Rick, you took great care in your processing to get things as accurate as possible. I see your explanation about the center piling on the pavilion, but am wondering if you could select the pavilion and apply a skew distortion in Photoshop to get the piling upright. I also removed a light between the pavilion and the clock tower. Jan 14th
44 Jan 25 Comment Wow, that's a lot of images that went into this piece, you must have been after a really great amount of detail. I would also remove the doorbell button on the right side. I'm also not sure about the green color, certainly this is unusual for a structure like this one. Jan 14th
44 Jan 25 Comment An interesting shot with good detail throughout. Your work improved the image considerably but I would also remove the items on the floor beside the back door as well as some scrap of some type in front of them. Jan 14th
