Good sharpness, great detail in the feathers. A colorful bird that we don't get in this part of the world. I don't know whether it's a finch or tanager. |

Great pose, good detail in the finch's feathers. I would not decrease its brightness, maybe try to defocus the background a bit. I agree that there are fewer birds, we haven't had very many come to our feeders this winter. |

Great nature shot. I agree with Leslie, give the swans more space either above or below them. |

I like Tom's version better than the original, except that the background is somewhat posterized. This could come from re-processing an 89-bit JPG original. Add a bit of space in front of the bird to give it space to move into. |

I agree that the egret is somewhat over processed, it's not natural to have sharp clouds in the background with blurred ground. I think this is a Great Egret, definitely not a Snowy(would have yellow feet and a dark beak). |

Well done Tom, I like the improvement that shows a bit more detail in the wings. Limpkins tend to blend in with their surroundings and in my experience aren't easy to capture. Catching this one with its meal adds to the nature story. |

Thanks everyone. If I recall properly, the angle of the fence relates to the angle at which I was photographing the ibis, I was a few feet ahead of it.

Thanks everyone. I will try to straighten the background building a bit, but I think this'll be tricky. |

Max, I've been impressed with all the images submitted to the circuit this month. A higher perspective might improve your image, but I'm sure this would not be possible except with a drone. I might add a slight vignette as mentioned in a few other images (keep it very subtle). |

Bill, I can see that you composed and processed this image very carefully with the perspective properly corrected. If anything, you were very slightly to the right of center, but then I'm nitpicking to say this. your image would do very well in an architecture competition. I cannot make any suggestions for improvement. |

I like to go out in the country and photograph old barns, I've shown a few I captured last spring in Tennessee with Hazel Meredith, as well as some in southern Ontario (including old tobacco barns). Well done -- if you cannot capture what you went out hoping for, look for other targets that provide interesting images, as you've done here. |

Great detail front to back, brings out the autumn colors and makes them pop. This image would work either way around. I might add a very slight vignette to draw the eye inward (as Jane did this month). |

Great detail, sharp from front to back. You've handled this panorama really well, no distortion visible, I would not have realized this was a wide panorama without your description. |

Well done Brad, your HDR treatment brought out all the cannon's detail and color. I assume that it's a small door in front of it that can be opened, and then wheel it forward, when you want to fire the cannon. |
