5 Aug 23 Reply Yes David leave the eyes alone. Let us know the result if you put this in competition. It certainly is a winner Aug 19th
5 Aug 23 Reply Yes .Mark I think you have a good point there Aug 16th
5 Aug 23 Comment I liked this image Mark, mostly because it is a scene that one could very well walk by, but with your explanation of the gold mining past it becomes a poignant picture of what was once so thriving. I don't see it as a competition but I would like it for a myself as a memory as having been there and taken the picture

5 Aug 23 Comment Rick I didn't find the FG all that distracting, Jim's was a little too dark for my taste and Pete's edges of the white clouds (?) are too sharp, sorry fellas! But regardless it is a spectacular landscape Aug 15th
5 Aug 23 Comment Yes Pete this is another portrait of emotion which you capture so well. I can't add more than everyone has already acclaimed. Great work. Aug 15th
5 Aug 23 Comment Jim I found it hard to know what to look at, obviously the blue sails stand out but the didn't find them to be very exciting --until I saw David's offer and it became much more interesting. I can understand your disappointment, haven't we all been psyched up for a scene and it just didn't come out the way we wanted? Aug 15th
5 Aug 23 Comment Jim, Pete and Rick said it all, marvellous image David well worth the work you put in to it Aug 11th
5 Aug 23 Reply Thanks Jim but I think David's idea of cutting the hair out by cropping seems to work Aug 5th
5 Aug 23 Reply David this one certainly solves the problem of trying to capture the hair correctly. Thanks so much Aug 1st

24 Aug 23 Reply Lovely image Bev and I can readily see the focus stacking difference--interesting isn't it? Aug 22nd
24 Aug 23 Reply Frank, as I indicated in my email to you. Next month detail the stacking procedure. I am sure the group will enjoy learning from your experience with it Aug 22nd
