I have seen many pics of rocking chairs and they are always do well in competition. Is it some sort of nostalgia that makes one smile when one pictures the gentle movement of it? The conversion to mono is definitely a plus and the reflections in the glass add much-- good work Rick. |

Of all your bird pics I find this the most interesting--and to have caught it outside your house-how lucky can you get. The small bird getting himself into the pic is quite a bonus. The horizontal flip was a good move. This is certainly a winner in any exhibition. |

The mystical colours are very much like that of your May image, Lake Wakatipu. The tones varying from a dark FG to the light BG are most intriguing and as Rick said it presents a Three-D image. Beautiful landscape Mark. |

What a wonderful subject Pete. You caught him so well, I don't see anything that could improve it. Love the texture of his skin. |

The grassy bits added to an image of some abandoned valves to give it more of the idea of its left to neglect. A good eye to have spotted it as a subject for inspection I think this piece of work would do well in competition

A great capture David, Agree with Jim re judges 'dead centre' remark, but the head pointing as though attracted by something seems to negate this. |
