This girl's expression is full of a tale to be told and the posture tells me that she is really going to give him what-for when he turns up. She just radiates emotion! I like Jim's version of removing the crate it serves to focus more fully on the object. It was interesting to learn that this was a model, one usually expects a model to be artistically posing but this girl's natural pose is marvellous, one would have thought you just caught her on the street.

Oh Sophia what most of us would give to have taken this image! Nothing I can think to add to improve/change it is a wall hanger.Beautiful work |

I usually don't read the other comments until I have absorbed the image, but coming in late on this one this one it intrigued me to read the comments and I cannot say more than those before me who have completely added their thoughts to this lovely picture of the rolling hills Great work Mark. |

Not knowing what Bulkhead Lukens steel meant I looked it up on the internet an discovered that Lukens "is the oldest steel mill in commission within the United States" and that a bulkhead is "a dividing wall or barrier between compartments in a ship, aircraft, or other vehicle" (the only bulkhead I ever heard of was the front row seats in an aircraft), One shouldn't necessarily have to know what the image is about to comment --having seen the indescribable slashes of paint in art galleries that pass as masterpieces! So... I do prefer the changes that you made Jim and more so that which Pete came up with, it almost now becomes an abstract and this is the way I feel it should be viewed. |

Yes David it is darker on my monitor too, but somehow I like the darker version--adds a feeling of mystery? |

I find Lance's comment 'a grouping of local workers would make a fine photo-essay!' very true. But what you did with the closeup of the hands makes for a very strong image, but I do find the black sock (I think that it what it is) too compelling. The hands with all the veins shows what one could perceive as a lifetime's work-- excellent study of life |

WOW! What a performance! Thanks for including the details of her dance I am amazed that she could perform for 3 hours. I am sure you left the four splashes of light in for a reason (perhaps it takes it out of being just a picture of dancer) but it does force one's eye off the subject. But nevertheless less a great pic. Pete, thanks for sharing this astounding performance.
