Thanks David, i think all of those changes are improvements in one way or another. What a great group we have! |

Beautiful capture Sophia, the only one change I, would make is to clone out the other bird. Looking at Pete's version I don't care for the darkened water. |

yes is does, but I still think it needs more of a 'break' in the centre where the reflection starts.
And I have just noticed a no-no, the image is split dead centre! |

Lovely image Rick, I am sure if she had a copy she would be pleased, her smile and obvious pleasure is delightful. Rather an odd bunch of flowers to give a girl eh?but maybe in Vietnam they are seen differently and have some significance. |

Mark I am not very good at assessing what to my eye is an abstract, I do agree with you that the colours are outstanding and I appreciate the history behind it. I see a little mouth and an eye to the R of the centre column and this makes me smile Perhaps our other members can be more helpful with this. |

Welcome to no. 5 Jim I am always envious of those catching bird shots like this. The fact that the top bird has its mouth open adds considerably to the image. Good work! |

David you did well capturing this image with the three riders forming a good triangle composition and your idea of moving them closer together really works Well done! |

Thisis one of yur loveliest Pete. I love tulips, almost my very favourite flower and the colours are magnificent, but they do take away somewhat from what I perceive as the focal point, that very interesting building. I have no suggestions as how to emphasise the building without diminishing the beauty of the tulips.
Oh I just looked at Mark's interpretation of the scene and he has brought out the building very well.
BTW Dumbarton Oaks is such a familiar name to me. Was it a place that came into notice post WWII?

Thanks Mark you have definitely improved it. Since it isn't too clear where the reflection starts I was thinking of having a bit of space, maybe water, to define it but after playing around with it, I gave up.

Jim I don't know why but lately when i go to save the image it comes up as a tif and I never work an image in tif. I have always caught it before but apparently missed it this time. I have made the correction. Thanks |
