Mark, the comments meant no offence as I gathered you realised in calling them 'minor criticisms' I like your sense of humour re the giraffe, and yes DD is all about learning and having fun. Good for you! |

Yes, David I agree the stem should reach the bottom edge. Strange how often we look at a picture and miss the simplest thing! |

Nick what is there to say? Once again your imagination goes beyond the pale. Would like to see the original of the inside of the bubble, that is so clever.
Fabulous work NIck, can't add anything but congrats on a job well done! |

Let's put it down an artful imagination. I don't know that I have ever seen a blue moon (there must have been one, hence the song). The row of trees are lovely but I would like to see those along the L bank a little more defined, nevertheless a clever piece of work. |

I love this building Pete, the colours are magnificent, but would it have shone this brightly with the sky as dull as it is? Nevertheless you took the artistic privilege and it is stunning |

What a difference! Certainly mono is the way to go. I think Rick's added contrast might be of benefit. But I must say the vast amount cropping you did on this image took it out of the ordinary. I might not have cropped quite so severely on the LH side good work Freddie. |

Beautiful colours in the bird David. I think Rick's cropping is perhaps a little too severe. I would like to see the V of the two branches preserved and not quite so much taken off the LH branch (trunk?). Yes I saw the catchlight in the eye but It could be just a tiny bit stronger. |

Thank you Bev. Just played with the brownish BG, which you can see in no way resembles the final. What brought out the two colours, red and orange taken from the flower, was placing them in the FG & BG box and using the gradient tool until something acceptable appeared. |

Reading your bio you seem to have had and now have the best of everything photographically. Having lived in Bath my mother particularly liked Cheltenham and we would take a run up there. Having found this tree I would expect a number of images with its being the focal point--it's a gem. I especially like your sky colour, a lovely soft BG for the scene. The sheep are all well placed and the overall picture is a joy. Well done!

A interesting image, one can explore it for sometime in order to examine all the various parts. One thing I would point out is that we do encourage all the members to assess the image and if they come up with a idea they may feel free to 'work' on in some way; don't take it as an offence, merely another person's idea--one which you may incorporate into yours or ignore it as yu see fit. My group 5 frequently 'works' on another's image to make changes as he thinks would improve it or to make it more pleasant to his eye--we don't always take the advice!
Keep up the good work Leonid. |
