This is one of those images that all sorts of things can be read into so it bears multiple scrutiny. The boy, of course is the subject and I agree with Mark that the children's chatter and the train movement gives life to the picture. I don't find this image to be worthy of PJ competition nevertheless it is an interesting one to keep in one's collection of a memorable trip
BTW Rick your remark to David re negative comments is spot on. We don't want members to submit those images that have won plaudits but those that we prefer to improve by suggestions from our fellow members. |

You caught him just right Mark and the little bit of cropping is good. Well done. |

Somehow Pete his composition jars me; it is indeed a lovely showing of the flower and the bud but for some reason I want the flower to overpower the bud; being so tall it comes off as being dominant. Perhaps if the bud had been farther back behind the flower????!!! Take heart Pete I'm sure the others will be much less negative. |

This really a lovely peaceful image , one that one may hang on the wall. The small amount of post processing you did was quite enough to bring out such depths of colour
Perhaps it is my eyes Freddie but does anyone else see a slightly slanted horizon line falling off to the L? |

The cap colour is a definite improvement, blends well with the overall picture and too good removal of the shirt stripes and clean up of the BG. Well done David. |

Nick I am a great admirer of the animals that you put together, often in odd ways, but this one doesn't quite hit it off for me. I found the skunk is so black he doesn't stand out enough against the zebra. With regard to his face; what i mainly see is a long white streak down his nose and in enlarging the image I see one eye. Perhaps I don't know enough about skunks . BTW I love the zebra stripes against the tiled floor, this is for me the picture. |
