Group Round C/R Comment Date Image
5 Feb 20 Comment My apologies for being late Steve. The addition of the sky does give some semblance of its origin but it takes away the impact of the colours of the rocks and I like the saturation. Welcome to no. 5 Feb 23rd
5 Feb 20 Reply Yes Pete I think the BG you created works well Feb 10th
5 Feb 20 Comment This is a lovely peaceful image. The stick does not bother me it serves as a focal point without taking away from the overall scene. Although I am not, as are most, an enthusiast for, as you describe the water, the silky look, preferring the bubble and splash, it is appropriate here. The greens, gold and touches of red are lovely. well done Mark. Feb 10th
5 Feb 20 Reply Thanks Bev you read my mind, I actually thought concentration camps when I conceived the idea, except of course the nails are too nice! Feb 3rd
5 Feb 20 Comment I think this is so clever Nick, your imagination never fails to amaze me I can't find anything to add/change, except to congratulate you on a job well done. Terrific! Feb 3rd
5 Feb 20 Comment I haven't the foggiest idea what a router bit is, not that it particularly matters since one is supposed to critique the image itself with lighting etc. I can only say that it is sharp in places that matter but that the white circles are distracting. Sorry Pete! Feb 3rd
5 Feb 20 Comment You've brought out the colours beautifully here but I do wish the FG Irises were little more in focus. I don't mind that only a small part of her face is shown, it actually pleases me since it puts more emphasis on her costume and the flowers. Although it it is soft my eyes are drawn to that darn stump on the L middle of the scene. The flow of the flowers from bottom L to mid R is most pleasing. Would like to have seen a small frame on the image. Feb 3rd

11 Feb 20 Comment Interesting and a novel approach to the angle. At first I thought it was a mistake, particular since the text is off to the LH side, but looking again I saw the sign on the original. A small change--I would like to see the vertical white thin lines on the L and RH side of the pole cloned out and perhaps the pole's RH side lightened a little nevertheless good work Jim. Feb 3rd

12 Feb 20 Comment The B&W suits this image well. I am not sure I am comfortable with the tilted angle. The FG is good and sharp and I don't mind the white pieces OOF, but I wish the farther BG was even less noticeable

And, congrats on the win!

12 Feb 20 Comment You have framed this beautifully but I have to agree with Tom it could be a little sharper, and perhaps it is the vignette you used but the greyness of the table on each side of the camera I find somewhat distracting. Feb 5th
12 Feb 20 Comment Yes, I think something could have been added to the bark and I would prefer it alone without the green BG, but you have marvellous texture in the bark. From the stand point of the theme it is an interesting and unusual subject Feb 5th

21 Feb 20 Comment Not to worry its lovely to see her picture, family is soooo important Feb 15th
21 Feb 20 Comment Bronwyn is indeed lovely and I think she looks a little like you (I am prejudiced having 2 daughters). I do like Brians's head tilt, and the B&W is the most appealing.

Don't forget however the basis of the Creative groups

CREATIVE . This section is not for beginners but is for those
whose images are dedicated to altered reality and who have
experience in Adobe Photoshop or the like--in other words
designed for the crème de la crème of digital imaging. These
members are committed to altering the image so that it departs
from the reality of the original photograph. A camera or other light gathering device could never solely capture such images as they appear in the altered image.

34 Feb 20 Comment A novel idea, well executed and thank you for the explanation of its creation.
I missed writing but I did so like your Dec. image, barn ghost building.

34 Feb 20 Comment This is clever, how you took an uninspiring image and made it interesting. Thanks for the detailed explanation this gives other members inspiration. Feb 7th
34 Feb 20 Comment A lovely cloud but I am somewhat lost with the idea of adding the images, to my mind they don't quite relate, but I am probably not seeing it correctly

34 Feb 20 Comment One of your marvellous bird images Candy. Although the 'meal' stands out well against the blue BG of the original, the blurred BG of the finished image is even better, and thanks for the detailed steps, good work Candy. Feb 7th
34 Feb 20 Comment I look forward to your images each month and I sometimes think you outdo yourself each time, and thanks for the detailed explanation. Marvellous work Steve. Feb 7th
34 Feb 20 Comment A marvellous compilation of images. It all comes together so well and the Mono application works beautifully . Feb 7th
34 Feb 20 Comment Alan, agree wholeheartedly with Wanda. How on earth did you separate the man so perfectly from the crowd? Against the sky he has a 3D look. Beautiful work and your imagination is superb.

May I ask, what is your witch's brew?

I am going to suggest that everyone carefully view the bear, hippo, gator and lion images......
Larry this is excellent advice.

I had a note about you that I would ilke to pass along.
"Please have a look at how Larry is leading and guiding Group 67 this month.
He is doing a fantastic job of teaching, leading, and encouraging the rest of his group.
He is also one of the best story-tellers in all of the DDs, maybe actually the best."
