Although I've never used it I have heard what a complicated programme Painter Software is and obviously this was a lot of work but I don't think it quite came off Nick. Perhaps someone like Betty Billingham (group no 20) who uses this could more constructively comment. |

Yes, the ball is there, the swing is full and the wicket about to fall. Well captured. The BG is nicely blurred. I don't know that I would have cropped the LH side I get more of the feeling where the ball has come from with the extra space. Good work. |

Glad to see you agree with Ricks suggestion re the blue, it just doesn't belong. I don't particularly think she needs texture added to her face, she is a beautiful young woman with a stunning complexion--it's all that steam rising to moisten her face. A good feature are her glasses tipping down her nose one would think they would be a detriment with the steam--apparently not. Well done Pete. |

Super image Phil. Not only did the horse have an exaggerated look but the girl too has good eye expression. I agree with Rick re the BG but I would not crop out the barrel it is an important part of the story. Well done |

I like the motion added to the wheels, it is not too obtrusive and it does give the impression of movement. You did a superb job with this Rick, the DoF is great, the sky, I wouldn't add or change a thing. Good work. |

thanks so much Ian, I don't enter any exb. any longer. I would be embarrassed to put this in beside those fab portraits done by Larry and Susan Cowles but your words are so kind. |

David you have lost me on this one. Enlarging the image i can't see any reflection.
I might be able to offer an interpretation if there were people looking at the image and he was attempting to explain it, but obviously this is not your intent. Sorry David, I cannot think of anything to say about this. I look forward to read what the other members will offer, perhaps help me better to understand. |

Mark we were together when I took this and I think you snapped him also. He had a veggie stand and was selling his produce |

My neighbour has a magnolia tree and i have had fun photographing the blossoms. When I first looked at this I saw a great image in the centre with the bee; as a macro it becomes almost an abstract. Then reading Robert's comments I agree wholeheartedly You say this is a work in progress and certainly if you have access to magnolia blossoms you can experiment all you wish. Another thing i would like to see are the petals with a little more structure in them. Keep at it Tom, it's a great subject to work with. |

Such interesting colours in this woodpecker. Certainly agree with James's comments and an even bigger improvement is the dark BG offered by Linda, the white is dazzling. |

It probably isn't the wisest image to put on the web, but I must say I've seen a lot worse. Although it is taken in Cuba if the writing was removed it could be almost anywhere the world (a baby was found (alive) not too long ago in a dumpster in Miami) so I don't think it it reflects badly on Cuba and it is a good PJ shot Bev. |

What an ingenious idea Angela. I love this type of table-top playing around. The circle falling from the image gives it that extra pique. For fun I might have tried seeing how it would look with a slight motion blur to add to the falling. Well done |

This is a great shot Mike, wonderful composition! Wondering what kind of birds they are? A little more explanation of the capture would have been nice, where, what time, circumstances? One thing I would change is to clone the RH and LH sides of the image to put more attention on the subject, this group is Nature Plus so one is not restricted to the rules of PSA's nature section.
How fortunate you are to live up there in the Lake District, so endearing and so scenic |
