Stunning image Neal and a sure winner in a PH exh. For PID (which allows changes) I would get rid of the streaks and the two objects on the RH side and paint in black whatever it is above above the left of the boy's head. Leave the dust, it makes for the image. Well done!
I would like to have seen the 'before' image here. I encourage all the groups to show the original where appropriate. |

Very clever Dennis (with two n's) was it Dennys? You have imagination and a good photographic eye, how many of us would think to do this? |

Well done Harry. I have seen many of these, but none better. I like the opacity of the LH car, some might suggest getting rid of it but to me it just belongs. The composition is different in that it is not eye level with the windshield but taken from below which adds another dimension to this excellent sepia image. It might be suggested to tilt the car to the left but I think if you did that it would be tilting the trees too much.
This is a winner! |

I believe that David 's suggestion is spot on, it bring 's ones eye right into the centre of the image and leads directly to the figure. |

Sorry, Rich I just now realised that I had overlooked a comment on your image, forgive the tardiness. As Oliver pointed out this has a marvellous perspective. The colours are so intense but upon reflection I believe I like Oliver's sepia effect even more. Either way it is a super image. I can add nothing to enhance it! Well done! |

The composition is excellent Nick and although you explained that the whale is on its stomach I think it would take a naturalist to fully appreciate the image. Although what you have done with components is, as usual, a Winning Nick. |

With NIck's suggestion of the red spot removal you have a super image here and no doubt that it would do well in an int'l exhibition. The glance, the skin tones all are so well done. One very minor change (or not) I might, very slightly, darken the whitish vertical line near the left side of his face. |

This is so unusual and so effective. I do like Rich's effect. You did an excellent crop of the acrylic base, but I am puzzled how it was set up. Well done! You have winner here. |

Such a good capture David, you have an eye for that which many of us would never give a second glance. I, too, as Oliver thought, the shirts were a bit brighter than than could have been, particularly the man on the left, and I would tend to darken this a trifle. Your removal of the BG distractions is so well done. I know that Nick likes borders, as do I, but in some of your images to me they would not 'lock in' the picture but would distract from it--and in this case very much so. Once again David, another masterpiece. |

I noticed after I posted this image that I didn't do a good job around her forehead, just above her left eye, I would correct this before entering in comp. Thanks for the nice words. Oliver and Rich. |

David this is an appealing image of a child but more detail is necessary than the tech information Please read the guidelines at the top of this page IMAGE DESCRIPTION "HOW I DID IT" particularly the 3rd and 4th paragraphs. |

Oh!some terrific face painting! I would remove the white partial border and then make the BG either the reddish colour or plain black. In Photoshop there is a way to open the eyes a little using the liquefy filter. I don't know how well it would work in this case since he is looking down, but maybe worth a try.. |
