Nadia, You've created a striking image that could have many interpretations. I like your handling of the various elements and it comes together as a very cohesive image. I wonder if the grey trim behind the columns on the inside portion adds to the image or might be left out. Mostly I find it pleasing but there's something about how it meets the base that feels "unnatural". Maybe having it fade or transform into a waving curtain at the bottom would add movement and remove any distraction. |

Tom, A very nice Halloween theme. All the elements are nicely handled. I wonder if the bird adds value here as you have such a spectacularly crisp moon. |

Tom, Thanks for the helpful feedback. I had played with a variety of heights of his jump and thought too high looked too surreal but I get what you said about the horizon. With regards to the darkness I wonder if it may be a bit darker on your monitor or if my monitor is too bright! I will take a look again and consider brightening some of the shadows. |

Hazel, Thanks for your comments. I am still looking forward to seeing Australia and New Zealand one of these days, hopefully soon. |

Peggy, Yes, I thought about using an owl. I only have one image of an owl in my collection, and it didn't work. Ultimately I settled on this bird as it suggested a feel of hope, even though it is a bit out of place (although the sand hill cranes do frequent this part of the world, just not at 3 am. |

Matt, Thanks for your feedback. I did explore various positions and chose it a little higher up as it suggested something hopeful to me. |

Kirsti, Thank you. I did feel disappointed by the lack of northern lights but was pleased with the atmospheric lighting I found. I have to admit at 3 in the morning I almost expected to see a ghost. |

Maria, I love the complex interplay between light, tone and haze you've created. I think all of the elements come together nicely. For my taste I might remove the tower that emerges from the subjects bottom and maybe have her floating or more nebulously connected with the various layers. |

Kirsti, This image felt like a departure into the realm of modern art. There is something very edgy and original in this image. I do agree the green feels a little too bright but fully appreciate your goal of creating this striking juxtaposition. |

Matt, I'm happy you shared another image in this series. You could certainly have an entire show with this type of exploration. I can see the title "Master of light". I love all of the rich colors you've created. |

What an imaginative exploration you've embarked on with this and the other image. I love how you capitalize on shapes that suggest trees in the sand patterns. I'm a big fan of pareidolia and exploiting it in photoshop. The magical work you do to create the texture and colors is inspiring. I have no suggestions to improve this one. |
