Thank you all for the suggestion to address the color blend at the horizon. I will look into it. |

Hazel, As an experiment this is successful. You create endless possibilities with this type of exploration. I would continue creating and sharing. |

I hope you appreciate I very much like this image. I am in group 54 as well and Alan loves minimalism. I like to imagine different handlings of an image, although in this case I would keep it as it is as it continues to resonate as a very strong image every time I look at it. |

Melissa, I would have never guessed how this was created if not for your description. You've done a great job creating a unique piece of art. |

Nadia, I will join Alan in applauding you on another compelling and beautifully lit image. You have such a powerful way of creating mood and atmosphere. I also was a little distracted by the many elements in the image. Alan's handling is interesting. If you were to pursue a more minimalist approach I would favor making your subject larger than in his handling. |

Tom, You've created a visually compelling image here. I like your decision to clone the building as the symmetry creates resonance. This is the kind of image which would benefit from a title, although I often enjoy bringing my own story to an image. As I mentioned to you when I saw this at first it reminds me of WWII, I think because of the black and white handling. I did find the mirror image handling of the shadow from the bottom skydiver confusing as it would likely only have a shadow on one of the buildings. I also wonder if you were to have the parachute closer to the viewer if that might create more visual impact. |

Brian, I wasn't sure what to make of this at first. There is something compelling about its simplicity and I agree white shadows is intriguing. |

Alan, We all have a unique voice to share, in this case in images. Feedback in this forum, in my mind, is just for sharing the impact images have on us as the viewer. I am a huge fan of surrealism too. I prefer Magritte's style over Dalis given how "believable" his images are. It is that type of handling, which attempts to balance all the elements that draws me in the most. You do you, the group will continue to give feedback based on impact. |

Maria, Thanks for your supportive comments. It is fun when you find an image that inspires many iterations. |

Kirsti, It's a minor point. Given the magical quality of the image I'd just leave it. Mist might help but could be more distracting. |

Bruce, Another masterfully executed image from the master. I love the muted tones and would consider an alternative handling in which the car has a bit more contrast in the red and black , just a touch. |

Alan, You have created a surreal image but there's something about it that feels off for me compared with your usual polished images. I find the green outfit on the tourist too jarring (although I can appreciate that may be your intention). I also wonder if there would be a way to integrate the flower more as it feels stuck on. Is it possible to integrate the patterns in the window to look more like branches extending from the flower or maybe having roots extending down along the doorframe into the floorboards. |

Maria, I love your choice of black and white for this portrait. The handling of the texture and contrast is beautiful. I've done a number of these kinds of studies over the years and mostly get feedback from my wife complaining about how odd or creepy they look (especially when I do something like this with the kids). I also found the left side of the face somewhat distracting and agree with Kirsti's suggestion. I do wonder if a two headed donkey may be more interesting as the third face feels extraneous. I've seen a number of images of human faces with a front view and a side view combined and this causes a resonance and interesting effect, especially with the eye that is "shared" by the two views. |

Kirsti, I will join the group in appreciating how creative and interesting this image is. I am a big fan of portals of all sorts. I agree with Bruce's suggestion about darkening the room as it enhances the dimensional aspects of the image. Since the bunny is the subject I wonder if you could punch sharpness or contrast slightly. On my screen things are a bit fuzzy but that may be due to compression for submitting. |

Matt, At first I wondered how you were going to justify this as a three image composite as it looked like your final version was "real". After reviewing your process and comparing the details it became very clear that you masterfully crafted a believable final product. Nicely done! |

Peggy, You always amaze me with how you create textures. This one is particularly impressive. The image is magical and feels complete how you've shared it. I prefer the final version over the second one you share. You could certainly pay with this endlessly but I find it a compelling image. |

Alan, I looked up Cole Thompson. Thanks. I like his B&W work, very inspiring. Yes, as Bruce pointed out the sun doesn't work below the horizon. I was caught up in the excitement of the juxtapositions and contrast which limited my attention on all of the details. |

Bruce, Super helpful. All of your suggestions are spot on. As with many images, once I start to get something I liked I lost focus on details. I've made these adjustments and they are all enhancements. Thanks! |
