Tom, I will join the others in enjoying this beautifully rendered pan. I agree with Brian's suggestion to move the birds off center otherwise the image is beautifully balanced from a color/hue and tone perspective, and visually very soothing. |

Brian, I forgot about all my kodachromes. You've done an excellent job of merging these two eras of photography in a compelling way. |

Melissa, What a clever idea nicely executed. To enhance the realism aspect I would consider adding shadows to the nuts and squirrel. I also can see some left over grey background from your cut and paste of the squirrel which would be nice to remove. The zebra edges are very sharp and stand out with too much contrast relative to the somewhat low contrast background. I might dial back the contrast or add a slight blur to the edges to have it fit more with the scene. |

Alan, Thanks for your honest appraisal. As I mentioned to Melissa I think this is one that I am going to let go for now. I'm sure you've had images you mess with for awhile and realize they just aren't working. |

Melissa, Thanks for your suggestion. After many efforts to create balance, including some rockier background I think this may be an image I may scrap, or just put on the back burner for awhile as I think my vision and what I can create at this point just don't line up. |

Bruce, As always you've created a masterfully rendered compelling image. I wonder if adding a little more contrast to the frog might create a little more punch and draw attention to it. |

Alan, I enjoy your minimalist handling of this image. The earth tones and grey work beautifully as a backdrop for the blue figure. It brings back memories of corn mazes and boardwalk house of mirrors. As a very minor point the figure on the far left seems slightly small relative to the other proportions. |

Maria, This image is very captivating. I absolutely love the sunset and the children. Their proportions/angles seem off in a compelling way which works for me. I find the turtle too small to appreciate and viewing it complicated my initial perception of the shark. I like Alan's idea of dialing back the shark to a fin to keep the image more subtle but also think the shark could work without the turtle. |

Kirsti, You've created a powerful image here with your revisualization and handling of the topaz filter. I love that filter and find it works magic with your image. The placement of the spectator and his handling remind me of images of big foot and aliens and create a mystery that draws me back in again and again. Nicely done. |

Peggy, You should get an award for your handling of the hair and skirt. You've essentially created a person from nothing. I love the disorienting angle you chose and the placement of the women descending the stairs. I love this image as it is. |
