Hazel, I am not a cat person but I'm reconsidering after viewing this cute image. I like the muted background as it forces the viewers attention even more into the adorable cat's eyes. |

Nadia, Another perfectly crafted image. I like your masterful control of lighting. Your handling of the sky adds a touch of drama that is "believable". |

Tom, I find your image disturbing in a fantastic way. That is, it seems so real I expect her eyes to pop open at any moment. All the elements are handled in a very beautiful manner. I might consider bumping the contrast and playing with the dark point a bit to create greater tonal range and depth, but that's just a personal preference. |

Melissa, Welcome to the group. Your first image is an interesting abstraction which is successful with respect to your stated goals. In the absence of a group assignment I find the image lacking a focal point as there are many elements that are not visually interconnected. I will admit up front I have a preference for a story in images but can appreciate your beautiful handling of the textures. |

Melissa, Thanks for your comments. Each of your points was a consideration during the compositing of this image. Often I will make adjustments and they just don't feel right. I do appreciate other people's perspectives and that is why I participate on these dialogues. |

Maria, This is certainly a fun, well done image. I did react to the flare in Groot's eye similar to Alan. My first impression of the image was Groot at a disco. Since he is a well known superhero its hard not to lend interpretations based on his persona, nevertheless it still is a powerful an evocative image. |

Bruce, I will join the group in sharing my fondness for this image. The grounding issue is a minor distraction which didn't pop out immediately. The rest of the elements work beautifully together creating a very believable story. |

Alan, I really like this one, especially your title. The cubes add a wonderful surreal element. My only suggestion is to consider a tighter cropping to bring the focus to the subject, although I do like the beauty of the village as it is. |

Kirsti, I like what you've done creating a simple, yet powerful image. I like Peggy's handling as well. You might consider using the orange hue from the orb and paint it a little on the sides of the face of the man and possibly on the young boys hat to suggest they are illuminated by the orb. |

Aavo, It's nice to see another take on the eclipse. I became a fan with my first viewing this year. I like the overall feel of the image. I do find the angles a bit off with respect to realism. Neither the old woman's eyes nor the child's are viewing the eclipse making it a bit of a disconnect for me. If you move the sun to the left at least the old lady's gaze would be aligned with the sun. |

Peggy, This is such a bright and playful image. You've done a wonderful job creating eye popping colors. The background gradient is very pleasing and a nice backdrop for the colorful bears and slide. The addition of drop shadows adds a nice 3D element. |
