Nadia, Another option, in addition to Brian's suggestion, is to use the new "generative fill". It is a true gift from the world of AI. You just select an area you want to remove and it does some magic which often solves complex problems in focal areas of an image. It's worth playing with if you haven't tried it yet. |

Lisa, All of the elements come together nicely in this very unique portrait. There is a pleasing balance created by your handling of blur and understated palate. A very interesting choice to place the model on a train track. I am working on a similar image now with a woman sitting on a train track. I am concerned my wife will question why I've subjected my subject to an imminent death. Your image does not have such a strong message but it does effect me on an unconscious level. |

Nadia, I love this image. It has a very pleasing tonal range and a richness of color. Your measured use of the path blur enhances the overall look. I might consider cloning out the very strong vertical post just to the right of the man as that vertical line may not add to, and may draw some attention from the man. |

Tom, I really like your departure from the sci-fi and darker themes (although I love those too). The motion blur creates a beautiful effect and takes this into the realm of art. Brian's suggestions are good as always. I might add a bit more contrast to the woman and man to draw the eye to them, a personal taste thing. |

Disappointing you don't know how you did it but it doesn't take away from my enjoyment of the image. I find the creative process is often much more complicated than we describe and ultimately is made up of many little decisions that shape the final product. Algorithms can approximate the result but this is a bit more like cooking when you add a pinch of salt or a splash of ... |

Hazel, Nicely done. This process reminds me of how non photographers have no idea what we do to make things look "natural". |

Peggy, Thanks for weighing in on this as well. I played around with the sign a fair amount and then ultimately desaturated some and left it alone. It is amazing how many visual items in a photo can pose problems. It's a bit of a burden (and gift) we've been given such power to control so many aspects of an image. |

Alan, I appreciate you taking the time to explore another version of this image. The Eastern Sierra is definitely worth exploring. I like your exploration, although it seems too dark, at least on my screen. |

Alan, In my opinion this is one of your best works. I absolutely love the floating chess board and find the Magritte like handling very pleasing. The title should be "Less is More". |

Maria, I share in the groups admiration of your beautiful handling of this image. I agree with Alan with respect to the crocodile. It was the last element I saw and it didn't feel like it fit in this otherwise idyllic and magical scene. In looking again I can see how the girl in white may be looking at the crocodile tying it in to the scene. In the end it depends on the message you are trying to convey. |

Kirsti, I really like your image as it has a very nice tonal range and has a sweet story. I have two suggestions. I find the overlap of the white bear on the girls arm distracting. Given the placement and the grasses below I wonder if you could just erase away that portion of the bear. I actually feel the black bear adds to the image, it just feels crowded. I would consider scooting the girl and white bear more to the left and having the black bear approaching them. |

Aavo, A fun and playful image. I like how you've integrated the giraffe, selling his placement. The goat looking up to the giraffe creates an interesting story. My only suggestion would be to consider cloning some of the complex door behind the goat to reduce its distracting lines. |

Peggy, Another compelling image. Everything about the image from the wonderful landscape to your handling of the color as well as the ghostly figure are rendered in a very pleasing manner, telling a story worthy of these hallowed grounds. |
