Nadia, This is a super interesting image with many wonderful and magical elements. I love the colors and blur effects you've added. The magical realism is beautifully handled. I love how you've added the chicken emerging from another chapter in the book. My only suggestion would be to give some attention to the section with the chicken as it feels a little crowded to my eye visually. It's such a powerful surreal theme I'd want it to be accentuated. Maybe eliminate the lamb from that area to draw more attention to the chicken. |

Tom, This is a very compelling image with a lot going on. The lighting, proportions, angles, themes are all nicely handled. I also wondered about removing the person in the bottom right but can see pros and cons to their placement. There is something about the main subjects face around the mouth that seems odd, I wonder if it is just an artifact coming from the movement but reminds me a little of how AI messes with faces and hands sometimes. There is some remaining background on thee hair in the main subject that could use some tweaking otherwise you did a great job extracting the jumper. |

Brian, I'm inspired. You've created a playful and visually strong image. As an American I'm not sure what to make of this image but I do find it has an iconic feel. |

Hazel, I really like the mood of this image. The way you blend the waterfall and your granddaughter evokes a calming introspective mood. The cracked texture does add to the image as well although I might use it in a more limited fashion (e.g. removing it from the waterfall or toning it down) |

Maria, Thanks for the feedback. I tried toning down her fingernails in a variety of ways and ended up leaving it so as to make a statement. I can certainly see the benefit of making it less noticeable. |

Maria, I share in Alan's appreciation of the craftsmanship here. You've done your usual excellent handling of these various elements. Given the angles you've created I feel Alan's handling as a horizontal landscape is a nice variant worth exploring. There is something about the angle and shape of the car, that doesn't fit with respect to "reality" that creates a very satisfying resonance, pushing this image from a photo into something more artistic. |

Kirsti, I love your experimentation here. There are so many interesting elements at play. Reminds me of jelly fish. This is one of those images you could have hundreds of versions all of which would likely be interesting. If you are trying to tell a story you may need to look at the elements with that in mind otherwise it is a success as is. |

Aavo, I really like your composite. It is nicely crafted and very visually striking. The green arm(leaf) on the far left doesn't sell the flower story given its angle. I would play more with different sizes/angles etc to create a more realistic still life composition. |

Alan, I like what you are exploring in this image but don't feel it is fully captured. Using your "less is more" preference I wonder if you eliminated the buildings entirely and just had these two meeting in this barren landscape, a version of an old western showdown. |

Peggy, I have to agree with Alan on both counts here. Your original swan image is perfect! You've certainly done some nice work creating an interesting texture but the original feels much stronger.
If this were my image I might work on an image with a spiritual flavor as there is something powerful and full of life in the birds expansive movement and I'd want to develop an upward energy in the image. |

Alan, You are kind. Leonardo was a genius and a master. I chose a simpler background for my daughter to resonate more with her energy. She has not been interested in allowing me to do this image for years. She begrudgingly allowed me to take a seated picture of her recently. This image is her holiday present from me. She has been asking if I made any progress on it yet and it will be interesting to see her reaction when she sees the final print. |
