Brian, Thanks for your comments. We all have busy months. Everyone is allowed to miss a month now and again, just let me know before the due date and I'll mark you down as "vacation". Barbara, our administrator, discourages missing many months in a year as these small groups work best with active regular participation. |

Hazel, Yes, it is frustrating often. I run into this problem all the time when I add cows and other farm animals as their hooves are often in deep grasses. AI may be an option to reconstruct. |

Nadia, Thanks for the link. I prefer to create on my own rather than buy overlays. I did find an online tutorial that helped me create some lightening which you may see in an upcoming post. |

Lisa, As always, your handling of the technical parts are excellent. My only suggestion is consider removing some of the molten material at the left edge of the opening of the stove as it looks a little unnatural flowing from the left edge. |

Nadia, I really enjoy this image on multiple levels. The story is very compelling. Your handling of the lighting and choice of the ominous sky is a huge enhancement that compliments the storyline. I have no suggestions but am interested in your technique for generating lightning. |

Tom, Although I'm a huge fan of the man with the hat (you) I enjoyed this departure. It's a playful and fun image which features a spectacular waterfall that deserves this attention. Well done. |

Peggy, Thank you so much for your attention to the details and feedback on the story aspects. I played quite a bit with the color and tone of the canoe lady and debated whether I should have her a bit more intense to draw attention or to mute her to blend her with the scenery. On further viewing I agree with your recommendation and I've toned her down some. I also made her a little smaller to better fit with proportions. I do appreciate how you've given voice to an implied message. A friend criticized the image for lacking a message but I told him it is there, just a little looser to open for the viewers interpretation. |

Aavo, I just tried to integrate the form and branches to suggest they are interconnected. Kind of like how medusa's hair blends with snakes. |

This is "Samson slaying a Philistine, by Giambologna (1529-1608). I like your idea of fusing both but wasn't able to do that with the image as it is given the height of the branches relative to the water. I do like having the Philistine completely visible as he becomes a primary focal point while Samson becomes a force of nature. |

Maria, I will join Kirsti, I love it. This image is visually pleasing on multiple levels, composition, lighting, story and perspective. I'm not sure if the sheep lying on the ground add much to the image which is already very powerful without them. |

Kirsti, I like both images. The curving lines in the longer image have a wonderful movement tying the figure into the background. The close up one has a pleasing handling of the virtual gold. I like how you favored a greater contrast on the subjects face to focus our attention. |

Aavo, I like your second go at this filter. I agree with Kirsti regarding the handling off the people. Her image of the bearded man would is more pleasing. The lady also appears a bit ghost like in this image, I would also tone down the filter on her. I often apply filters to a separate layer and then I can fine tune the control of how much I add to the image. |

Peggy, I like the story you've constructed here. The lighting and tonal range is pleasing to my eye. I find the sharpness of the edges of the bird a bit too contrasty making the bird appear more pasted on. |
