Hazel, This is a nice exploration into texture and color. These types of images can be manipulated endlessly with unlimited variations. I don't have a specific recommendation for further explorations but a day spent applying filters and adjustment layers could yield additional interesting options. |

Brian, Thanks for your thoughtful feedback and suggestions. I have a version of the image in which I've eliminated the leaves at the bottom left. I ended up keeping them for "authenticity" and I was torn between the simplified version and the "authentic" version. I like both. |

Lisa, An interesting effect. The colors and movement are beautiful. I would like to see some additional work done to integrate the sharp image from the blurry one as this looks nice but doesn't feel complete to me. I am drawn to the bottoms of the lupines and wonder if you were to erase away more of just those to suggest them rooting from the blurred area, that may be more visually pleasing. |

Tom, I like the new territory you are exploring here. I like your handling of the window and your placement by the window. I find the number of people outside and the number of vases distracting. I wonder if you were to dial down those elements some if it might have more impact (realizing this would require a reshoot). I also would favor increased contrast on your face for greater impact and to create more realistic lighting as the light on the vases is richer and more contrasty and you are unnaturally low contrast given your close proximity. |

Brian , A very interesting image. It would be helpful in the future to share the original for us to compare before and after. I love Prague and consider that bridge one of the most beautiful I've seen. I wonder if a different handling of the foreground subject might give more visual impact. I'm picturing an increased contrast and darker handling to bring attention him. |

Maria, Reflecting further I think "distracting" is the wrong word. Your image is pleasing and whimsical as it is. I see a more powerful image in the making. Often I have an image like this which I let sit on my desktop returning to it often and eventually take in a different direction. |

Maria, Interesting! I hadn't considered this type of version. Your image stimulates interest in exploring a version of the classic Narcissus story along these lines, thank you! |

Alan, I like how you see photography/art. There's certainly a balance between taking ourselves too seriously and paying attention to details enough to stimulate curiosity and reflection in the viewer. I enjoy your less is more handling of my image as well. |

Alan, I love your handling of this image. Very strong visually with beautiful highly saturated colors and intense contrast. An alternate handling I'd consider would be painting in some of the golden sunlight how you imagine in may play out on the figures although your stylized handling is very strong and successful. |

Maria, I really like your handling of the forrest. You've skillfully transformed this into a winter scene. I find the combination of the butterflies and frog a little distracting. A child or two approaching the house or a wolf in the right foreground as a solitary figure might fit with the magical storybook theme. |

Kirsti, I agree with Alan with regards to the crowding of the two ghostly figures and the tighter cropping feels pleasing to my eye. I wonder if using a blur filter or outer glow layer might create an ethereal look in the closer ghost. |

Aavo, This colorful image has some very pleasing features, however, I do find the blurring of the people a little unsettling. I wondered what the significance was as I couldn't construct a narrative. Your explanation of trying to use a Monet effect made me wonder why you didn't just apply the Monet filter to the people too. |

Peggy, This whimsical image is refreshing and enjoyable. I am reminded of the anthropomorphic light featured in Pixar's movies as well as The Little Shop of Horrors. I love the humor, movement, proportions and overall esthetic. I recall a prior image you shared and this one appears to benefit from your learnings from that image. I have no suggestions to improve this successful image. |
