Henry, Sorry I'm late to the discussion. You've had some excellent suggestions. You've done a nice job pasting and composing your image. I agree bringing a personal addition to the mix would help cause interest in the viewer as it looks like a very nice sculpture is sitting at the edge of the water. |

Tom, I feel as if you've taken your craft to a new level with this image. It is one of my favorites. This is the type of image that deserves to be shown in a gallery. I love your handling of the black and white, proportions and lighting. I personally find the distorted images in the frames a bit distrating as they speak to a modern filter handling wheras the rest of the image is very realistic. I wonder if you stuck with an unalterd photo of a couple sad Toms if that might make the image more compelling. |

Brian, First of all, welcome officially to group 41. I've already enjoyed interacting with you last month. This entry is very interesting. Full disclosure, I am not a fan of white backgrounds in art so that already biases my response to your image this month. Your original images are beautiful and works of art in their own right. Your composition has a nice balance with variation in size. The linear element helps create variety, although it feels more "artistic" than photographic. I was not familiar with the term suprematism. After doing a google search I can see you've succeeded in an homage to this movement. My only suggestion would be to consider a minor departure from this movement and add some drop shaddows to create a 3 dimensional feel to your image. |

Julie, I love what you've done with this image. So many great elements that seemlessly combine to create a fun and captivating image. As an area to consider playing, the moon feels "crowded" to me so low to the ground. I feel as if it might balance the image if it were moved to the left and up a bit. This is a personal taste thing. Feel free to disregard. |

Maria, The original and final version are both excellent. I do like the second version better as it creates more variety and eliminates artifact. This is quite a magical and compelling image. Well done. |

Kirsti, I like this image very much. You've done a great job expressing your intention. My only suggestion might be to darken the top of the image in a graded fashion to create more impact. There's something more powerful in the black and white original, maybe retain some of the contrast of the eye too. |

Aavo, I really like what you are exploring with this image. The use of a lightbulb as a frame is great on more than one level. Maria's handling does create a more pleasing 3 dimensionality that works nicely with this image. I find the coloring of the couch a bit jarring as a contrast and would encourage you to play with the color some if you are interested. |
