Alan, I didn't realize you had a second group, thanks for mentioning it. This is another enjoyable image nicely handled. |

Lisa, You bring up a good point. There aren't too many technical struggles I have at this point, although there are many techniques I could learn for sure. The struggles for me come from having a compelling image with all the elements coming together. It would be a shame to not share images we are proud of too. Since I have to generate at least 2 images every month for this and my other group, I find that is often enough to keep me busy. I will likely generate many more images when I retire, creating more options for sharing struggles. |

Lisa, As mentioned in my comments with this image it certainly isn't finished. Some months are busier than others. Rather than leave an empty spot I included my work in progress to at least share a new technique I found with some experimentation. |

Kathy, All excellent suggestions. I do find the horizon always tricky with wide angle photos. I very much like how you've improved the lighting. |

Stuart, Thanks for visiting our site and for your reworking of my image. I don't have all of those Topaz tools but agree there is plenty of room to work on this image. Usually, if you look on my other images on this site or site 54, the POP, as you put it comes from the juxtaposition of other images. This month I was a bit rushed and didn't have time to render a final product but wanted to share a simple technique I discovered playing around. |

Lisa, I like what you've done here. There's something very compelling about the angle the bird is regarding the viewer. I agree with Kathy about softening the edges some. |

Tom, I love this one Tom. The idea and execution are outstanding. My only suggestion would be to blow up the image of your body and desaturate or erase away the remaining green that is on your shoes and a small amount at the edge of your jacket. |

Henry, I like both versions. I like the intentional effort to darken the edges as it nicely focuses the attention on the two flowers. |

Kathy, This is outstanding. Everything has been handled in such a professional manner I have nothing to add. I was curious why you shared Original 2 as the man on the right is looking in a different direction in the final image. Was that intentional? |

Peggy, As always I appreciate the attention you give my images. It's as if you've entered my mind and know what I am thinking/feeling as I create these images. The red outline was an artifact of the blend mode I used when adding the kids to the image. I actually find it distracting on the image on the PSA site. I need to go back and see if it is as strong in my original(once I get my computer back) as I actually may want to tone it down a touch or change the hue some. Most of what I do now adays is shut off my brain and play a lot until I like how everything comes together |

Alan, This image has a Magritte flavor with the simplicity, crispness and powerful juxtaposition. I really like it. I'm impressed with how you salvaged the left calf, can you comment on your technique for that area? |

Kathy, You continue to impress me with your commitment to taking on photo challenges. You've certainly succeeded in creating an interesting image. I used to love challenging a fellow photographer to capture an image with a specific theme and find this helps create great focus and increased enjoyement. |

Aavo, I really like what you've done here. I agree with Peggy, the distortion of the bear doesn't add anything for me in this composition. The proportions and composition is otherwise quite nicely handled. |

Peggy, This is a wonderful exploration. I love the colors, movement and conceptual energy of the piece. I also really like Kathy's handling. I wonder if a horizontal version which emphasizes the wave and reduces the cloud might have another interesting feel. Well done! |

Alan, Thanks for reworking my image. It's actually an image of my daughter and son, sorry for the confusion. I like your version as it does focus ones attention on the key elements. |
