Jan, I like what you've done with this one. It does create a chaotic feeling that accentuates the energy of the street. The chaotic aspect is both a strength and a possible distractor. I might play with desaturating the background a little to make the women more the subject as she competes with a lot of color on the left side of the screen. I might also consider a tighter crop or move her closer the rule of thirds portion on the right |

Kathy, I admire your dedication to this project, 28 images! You've created a beautiful flower spiral. I wonder if you were to darken the edges if it might make the colors more intense, although that might defeat your goal of impressionism. |

Lisa, As always your handling of the technical is professional level. I have nothing to add other than a request for more "creative" manipulations. |

Henry, I've spent hours playing around with filters, it can be addicting. The choice of find edges works nicely with this image given all the edges. I find this image lacks of focal point as the very tall building on the right draws the eye up away from the interesting people at the bottom left. It's also a little distracting as it is cut off at the crane. I cropped your image to bring the attention to the woman walking her dog next to the interesting lamp post as another way to frame this image. |

Tom, I love what you've done with this one. I've played around with light painting at night and it does take a lot of trial and error. You nailed it, very eerie. I have nothing to add. I'd click save as and move on to your next creation. |

Kathy, I know what you mean. I wasn't thinking about climate change when playing with this image but I suspect it was working at an unconscious level. Based on your comments I may go back and add fire to the tops of the trees. It may solve my transition issue and may create a powerful splash of color. |

Aavo, Yes, I got in over my head with these trees. It took a lot of time to blend the waves but they worked. The sky was too complicated but I liked the direction it was going. I may try using the new sky substitution feature of photoshop to see if it works better. |

Alan, I ran out of time this month and didn't want to not contribute. I liked the direction this was going but ran into technical problems with integrating the sky and the trees. If they were just dead trees without so many branches I think it could have worked. I do strive for "less is more" but don't always succeed, especially on group 54 as many of my images work nicely with 2 photos. |

The Matrix meets Lawnmower man meets Pink Floyd. Nicely done. If my wife were shown this image she would say something like "why did you do that to this pretty girl?". My images often take on dark themes, so you are safe to explore here. It would be nice, but technically not possible with the image you are working with, to have the words add to the story more. |

Aavo, I love California poppies. What better combination than beautiful flowers and adorable grandchildren. You might try playing with adding the kids directly into the flowers if you have any more close up images. I did a few images of my kids inside poppies and they were very popular with the family. |

Peggy, This image is nicely composed with a pleasing palette. The framing of the animal is well done. Its gaze beyond the frame does imply a story. I'm not sure I have much to add as it feels complete as it is. If you wanted to develop Alan's dream idea you could use the eye shape created by the branches to go in a surreal direction. |
