Tom, Good suggestion. I chose not to do that as I don't have his consent |

Kathy, You are right, it is a bit off. I like pushing the boundaries some. I believe Jan's version may hit the mark |

Jan, This is a very compelling image. I love the colors, lighting, and transcendent nature of the image. I'm sure your grandson will treasure this one. I might play around a bit with the lighting on the side of your grandson's face and body. It is really great here. I feel like a touch more might draw the attention to him as a central figure given how many wonderful visual treats the eye has to explore in this one. |

Tom, This is very clever and well done. I've been fantasizing lately about a trip to the moon after reading Bezos is taking a trip to outer space soon. Maybe you and your wife can have Moon anniversary. The title of this one is great by the way! |

Henry, I can hear the flowers singing! This image has a wonderful movement, balance and proportion. Your explorations are really paying off. I wouldn't do anything differently. I might play with leaving a small amount of the flower at the center more in focus to bring a focal point to the image but it works as it is. |

Kathy, I love this one. It reminds me of a challenge I had decades ago from my Nephew who asked me to turn him into an alien. That challenge brought great joy to him and me alike as it made me realize how powerful an imagination pared with photoshop can be. This is skillfully rendered and beautiful. |

Kathy, It is interesting hearing your comments. As I'm sure you experience, when entering the world of your image, you meander through these various options. Make the trees more contrasty or less contrasty? Change the hue? Increase vibrance, etc. I like the fluid process the play in photoshop affords. There are an infinite number of possibilities. I may go back and play more with this image but I think I need to start working on my July image! |

Alan, To quote you "The image is successful as it is open to interpretation." Other than playing very loosely with a face theme, the rest was just done without "thinking". |

Alan, As with Neil's image this month I thought I'd come to the wrong website as this one didn't look like a composite. You did a great job with less is more here. It's nice when you have these skills to be able to tweak an image to improve it without drawing attention to what you've done. |

Neil, When I first viewed this I wondered why it was submitted here as it looks like one image. Reading your description I saw the skill in your handling of limitations initially presented. Your subtle tweaks work very effectively to share a very visually compelling lazy King's world. |

Kathy, This is such an interesting exploration of a city scene. I like how you've created a complex blend here. This is the kind of image I imagine you could play with for quite some time. Areas I might play some more if you have that interest would be in the overlap of the two central photos as their edges are very close together and I wonder if they were separated more either in space or via layer masks/coloring/drop shadows etc, they may be more impactful. |

Aavo, I had a similar reaction to your image as Alan. I like the idea but find the handling takes away from selling your image. In addition to feathering the edges I would spend some time balancing the contrast/brightness of the butterflies as that plays a big role in making them look stuck on. I would bring up an adjustment layer and turn down the contrast. Given the potted plants are in your back yard I would go back and take a sharper image so it better matches your butterfly sharpness. |
