Lisa, As always masterfully crafted and so clever. I was very impressed to see the hands were "found objects" rather than manufactured. Along those lines if there was a way to make the eyes feel a little more "natural" (maybe using other flower parts), it would be even more compelling. |

This image makes me smile. It feels nicely balanced and is so whimsical. I don't know if it is an artifact of compression for posting but the bird it a bit pixelated. As a visual contrast to the the rest of the image I would like to see the bird shaper and maybe have a bit more punch as I didn't notice it in my first viewing. |

Tom, I also really like this image. The tonal range and contrast in this B&W is top notch and very visually satisfying. Thematically it is intriguing and gets me thinking, thank you. My only suggestion would be to consider playing a little more with the size of the house in the distance. It feels a little crowded to me and I wonder if it was a touch smaller if it might be even stronger (maybe not). |

I see a theme emerging with this and last months image. They are both nicely executed and would succeed for a coffee table book or possibly cards. |

Kathy, I really love what you've done with this image. This is a true art piece with a wonderful handling of color, design, and texture. It's a keeper. |

Kathy, That is an excellent suggestion, if I can clone it out without too many artifacts it is definitely an improvement. Thanks! |

Peggy, Looking at the image on the screen I agree a brighter bird would be better than a bright drop shadow. I will play with the various suggestions. Still having computer issues, a large number of Lightroom images seem to have been lost in the shuffle, ugh |

Neil, Yes, I mucked around with adding various amounts of light behind the bird and couldn't find one I liked. Since I've been without a computer for almost a month now (all sorts of back and forth problems with Apple) I haven't had a chance to play with it again. |

Aavo, Sometimes it is best to leave well enough alone. Often when I don't have an image in time for our monthly submission I may make the mistake of adding elements that don't work. Appreciate the feedback. |

Kathy, Thanks. I had originally tried with all three birds and tried simplifying. Seeing your version makes me think I may want to go back and play some more. |

Alan, Another nicely crafted image with everything perfectly balanced. The image you shared above by Dali is an example of how his images are a little off, i.e. he always adds a lot of personal items like ants and crutches that add complexity. I tend to prefer Magritte's handling of surreal images as they are cleaner but I wonder if there is something to learn from Dali here. Have you tried playing with combining the cello and a fish? Have you tried playing with movement of the fish rather than having them pasted on? |

Neil, This is wonderful image but I think they forgot to add dp4+(-)P+T1(p +q qi 1)!dd4 to the vinicular conjunction at the top right. |

Kathy, I love what you've done here. I see a children's book in your future. I wonder if a subtle drop shadow under the goose might make for an interesting 3D effect for impact. |

Aavo, I like your idea and find the colors and proportions pleasing. The theme does not readily come across without the title. I wonder if you placed the healthy, less healthy, and dying flowers from left to right if that may not sell the story more, just like those images of the cromagnon man rising up to be a tool holding human. |

Peggy, I am honored to be given credit for inspiration for this image. Your handling of the black and white has a nostalgic feel for me. I think this image may enter my dream world too. There's something about the low contrast handling of the frog that feels off for me. I wonder if you went more towards darkening and increasing the contrast if that may be more compelling. |
