I can't see it on my computer at work but it was clear on my Macbook. I have printed images in the past and been haunted by a little remnant I didn't pick up. Not a big deal but I think we photographers are all a bit perfectionistic |

Jan, I like your high key handling of this beautiful horse. The lack of a sharp edge to the horse detracts a little from my enjoyment for some reason that I can't place. It's too bad you can't remember how you did this as it would be interesting to hear more about your process. |

Lisa, You've skillfully constructed an alternate reality for this nice tug boat. My imagination makes me wonder if you added a figure or two what interesting stories might you tell. Whether you decide to develop this further you've done a nice job creating an atmospheric setting for this boat to exist. |

Maryellen, This looks like a professional quality graphic design image. If your target was simpler you could sell it to Target, the company, for one of their ads. One very minor nit picking detail, I see a rectangular remnant from the original image cutting through the circle and then jogging to the right below the man's feet. |

Henry, I like your experimentation here and agree with your wife. I actually like both versions. The "original" has a nice balance to the shape the vase balancing the flare of the flower. I also like what Kathy has done too. This is the kind of image you could have 10 versions and enjoy them all. Keep playing! |

Kathy, I love the richness of the tonal range in this black and white image. The large moon with the man jumping is visually striking. Although you've done a great job mirroring the moon and the jumper I feel it is a little distracting. I wonder if it was a little more subtle or even removed if it would focus the attention on the tufa formation, moon and jumper. |

Peggy, I love what you are doing with this image. I really like how you are developing this idea. I think you've done a remarkable job placing the whale believably in water. The lower half of the image is powerful and compelling. The upper half doesn't feel as "believable" yet. For me the bubbles, how they are, cheapen a potentially powerful image. It may just be the lighting issue you mention. I also agree the fish don't sell it as much and you might be right to look for another color to differentiate them. Given my preference for birds and unconventional juxtapositions, I would keep exploring this theme of something coming out of the whale's spout. |

Marilyn, I really like this composite. It has a beautiful balance and wonderful color display. It would be nice if you were able to make the background a more even blue, although I've worked with photos from fish tanks and it is exceedingly difficult, and probably not worth the hassle. |

Alan, Another excellent image. I'm personally not bothered by the lighting issues. I love the intense expression on the woman's face. I wonder if you were able to substitute out something more powerful like a talisman or a dead chicken, instead of a water bottle, if that might give the image more of a mysterious quality to fit with the large moon. |

Aavo, Thanks for your comments. Yes, the bird is out of place as this is a concept image. The second flower is out of focus because that is how the depth of field captured it with the initial image. I agree it would have been nice to have a more gradual depth of field but that isn't always easy when you are out shooting. I think I took this image 5 years ago and just getting around to playing with it as I'd always liked the image. |

Kathy, I love this image. It has a very calming effect on the viewer. The colors are very soothing and the composition is beautifully executed. My only suggestion might reduce the blending of the background colors of the forrest to accentuate the squirrel as it is such a powerful subject and I suspect that would make the image pop even more. |
