Maryellen, I like letting light paint the picture whether it be star trails or in this case letting the blurry forms from a hand held create whatever they will |

Jan, I added the grain in for variety but agree it didn't add value so I removed it. |

Henry, Thanks for your comments. Van Gogh certainly captured a lot of lonely scenery, and was a lonely guy. The funny thing is there were a ton of people around and I snapped this shot on the fly hand held just to see what it would look like. My wife didn't like it (presumably because it was blurry) but I sensed an energy in the image that did feel like one of Van Gogh's night scenes. I certainly didn't have the intention of creating a lonely image but that's the fun of this hobby. |

Lisa, I was happy to see you pushing into new territory with this one. You have mastered the repetitive form and polar coordinate images. Flowers are such compelling subject matter but so hard to create novel images. I love how you've used a dark back ground for your images, it makes the colors really pop. |

Jan, I love how all the elements come together so nicely in this image. The colors, lighting, composition all work nicely to create this magical image. Perfect. |

Maryellen, This is a really wonderful image. My only suggestion is to consider increasing the contrast on the face of the fox a little more to draw a little more attention to this beautiful creature. |

Henry, I also like what you are doing with this image. Lisa and Kathy beat me to the minor adjustments to take this image to the next level. Nothing else to add this time. |

Kathy, This is a really great image. I like the contrast and gritty quality of the image of the two people. Lisa has given excellent feedback on two minor issues with the image otherwise it is a keeper. |

Kathy, A follow up question if you don't mind. I was able to extend the bottom of the image. Thank you for making aware of that new option. Do you know how to return the image to the original proportions without cutting off the top now? |

Lisa, Thanks for taking the time to show me the final product, that's definitely an upgrade. Funny about the sky. I over thought that one. I actually added a different filter to vary the wavy pattern as it looked too much like a filter but I agree the granular look didn't actually add much. |

Kathy, Thanks! That's exactly what I needed to balance the picture and it sounds so easy. I didn't notice the bright light but now that you pointed it out it is very distracting. |

I like what you've done with Aavo's suggestion it adds a nice balance and sells the texture more. |

Aavo, Although, as you point out the image is quite small, I do like what you've done. The new image suggests a story, i.e. these people are journeying to the white queens. There is tension as it isn't clear what they are, why they are going etc. I like your revised version a lot. In the future click on the "reply" button in the message of the person you are responding to as that is the only way the person you are responding to will get a notice you responded. |

Aavo, This is an interesting exploration. I really like the middle portion with the dark figures walking across the "snow". I personally find the original 1 confusing as it is placed and doesn't add to the image for me. The way it is rendered you aren't able to make out the ghostly figures. If you dialed back that part to leave in more of the mid tones that might create an interesting tonal element and visually the figures would come out more. Overall it is a very interesting departure. |

This is a beautiful image with very pleasing lighting and colors. The texture overlay is intriguing but I feel like it might be stronger if there was less of it. Kind of reminds me of peering thru a window that has some smudges on it and you want to get out the windex to get a clearer view of the scenery. Maybe reducing the opacity some and erasing away a little more. |
