Henry, Your image made me laugh too, but the typo of this being a picture of your wife's bowels made me laugh more :). You've done a much better job this time handling the hair. The eyes, nose and mouth appear a little too cut out and pasted on. Adding a drop shadow to these should help soften them a little more. |

Jan, You've done a wonderful job capturing a visually pleasing magical image here. I like it as is. I would consider trying to tie the sky into the windmills some. What I mean is painting the effect on on the left side of the image such that it looks like the windmills are blowing the clouds and effecting their flow. It looks like you may have done a little of this already. I wouldn't overdue that but it can tell a visual story |

Sue, I really like the concept of the photo and feel the colors are very bright and fun. Some of the background elements, particularly the top left, don't add anything to the image and are distracting. I recommend cropping out the top window and other element and consider blurring of desaturating or darkening the background some to make the balloons pop visually a little more |

Maryellen, You've handled this perfectly. I like how the tail and feathers extend beyond the edges of the image. The colors, sizes and positioning of the letters are all expertly handled. Great job! |

Kathy, I really like this image a lot. I agree with Sue, the only part that feels a little off is the sharpness of the green grass around the head and near the tree on the left of the image. |

Thanks Kathy. She's applying to colleges now and seems a little bewildered. |

Peggy, Thanks for your thoughtful comments. I did try to add more clouds to the original and ran into some blending problems. It is interesting how some pictures just rub some people the wrong way, glad you like this one. I do agree there is something in this one that warrants more effort. |

Alan, This is a wonderfully executed image. I like how you've handled the contrast, the lighting and the figures from the past and present. A few minor items. The mayor's right shoe has a minor white element on the bottom that could be erased. I also wonder if you were able to recede the flags and historical figures some pushing the mayor closer to the front and creating a little more space between him and the background. It might create a little more depth to the image and help with the empty space at the top (which overall I like and feel helps to keep my focus on the foreground elements) |

Betty, My first impression was of a diorama but the elements don't have a unifying theme. I like how the goat and child are staring at the viewer. The bird feels like an add on. I would focus in on what your message is and try to tie the image of the goat with the child in some way that tells a story. |

Aavo, I agree with Alan, the original is excellent. Having said that, I like what you've done with the darkening and decolorizing. The ghosts look stuck on to me and that detracts from the overall feel of the image. The dog ghost looks cartoon like in this handling which detracts from your spooky theme. I might suggest tinkering with blend modes, opacity and blur to create a more ghostly look |
