Jan, It' on both sides. It's only apparent given the sharp contrast and strong color difference. I wouldn't spend too much time worrying about it as I like the photo as it is. |

Henry, Nicely done. I like the esthetics of this image. I wonder if you cropped off a little of the grey at the top of the image if it might be stronger, not sure. Keep playing with layers. In my opinion, that is where the power of photoshop comes thru. |

Lisa, Another nicely done image. This one reminds me of a few images I've seen recently where they've taken an image of trees like this and made the larger image the shape of a guitar. Have you tried playing with the shape of the mirror image in a similar way? |

Jan, I really like this image. It is very imaginative and visually has a a lot of punch. The edge where the sky meets the hill feels a little unnatural. Not sure how I would handle it but maybe blurring the edge some? |

Hilarious. Great idea and nicely executed. It would be nice if the pug's butt wasn't cut off for symmetry but that may just be a personal taste thing. |

Henry, Thanks for visiting Group 54, this is where I started with PSA. Over the last few months I've been playing around with blending layers. I use a layer mask and just paint one layer into another. Depending on how subtle I want it to look I will often turn the opacity of the brush down to about 10% and do multiple passes till I get something I like. If I overdue it I paint back in the photo with the erase brush on a 10-20% setting too. Hope that answers your question |

Peggy, Thank you for your very thoughtful and detailed reply. I appreciate how carefully you looked at my photo. I will play with the trees/fog some more. |

Alan, Thanks for your thoughts. I tried both versions initially and thought the trees created some framing and directed the eye in a circular pattern. I'll take a look again without the tree to see if it increases the disequilibrium |

Alan, I like this image. The woman feels a little pasted on. I wonder if a subtle drop shadow might help. I initially wasn't sold on the repetition of the photo in both rooms, not sure how it tells the story. I wonder if some other object on the floor in the far room might be stronger, or maybe nothing in the other room just having the viewer wonder what she is looking at. |

Peggy, This is an interesting departure from your prior work. I think it is great you are working on new themes. I really like the right side of the photo. The primate photo with the vertical yellow green streak is strong. Something about the placement of the feels slightly off or the proportions of that compared with the bird don't feel balanced. Overall I like it though. |

Betty, The composition has a nice balance but it feels a little tonally flat. I wonder if a splash of color or another element added to tell the story might be helpful. |

Aavo, Wonderfully clever composition. I love how you've anthropomorphized the tree and sold the toy soldier's movement in the sand. Very fun. |
