Lisa, I think I did a straight blend, i.e. just using a layer mask and erasing away material with 30-50% opacity. The version you would like to see doesn't exist. The exposure of the mother watching her kids is as it is since the kids were moving and she was staying relatively still for the 1/2 second or so exposure. I kind of like the fact that she is relatively still while her kids are moving, feels like it emphasizes her stability, especially in the setting of the moving stars and kids. |

Jan, Thank you for those kind words. I have to admit this was one of those few photos that only took a couple minutes to put together (taking the images for the photo was another story). Often I spend hours trying different images, this time I juxtaposed them, did some minor adjustments and it felt done. |

Sue, Thanks. Lately working on subtle blending is what makes me happy. |

Jan, I love the Two can joke. This is a very nicely executed playful image. Well balanced, well lit, nicely executed. I hear a Jimmy Buffet song playing in the background |

Lisa, I really like the overall feel of this image but think real eyes would be more powerful. The colors are bold and eye pleasing. |

Sue, This is a fun and well handled image of Coco. I don't feel you've sold the idea of the dog decorating the tree but it is otherwise beautifully crafted. I really like your handling of the window. |

Kathy, I like how you've created a different reality here. I really like the image of the 3 people backlit and think that image would be more interesting if it was larger. Not sure if that would fit in this photo but it looks more like a christmas ornament this small. Maybe play with them walking away from the exploding star |

Alan, Another wonderful surreal image. I could spend quite a bit of time looking at this image (I plan to come back to it). You've created enough mystery to make it compelling. You have mastered your craft, technically flawless. I recently went to the Magritte exhibit at the SFMOMA. I love his art for its simplicity and deep messages. I would recommend you continue in this journey and spend a lot of time deepening the conceptual themes underlying your images |

Betty, Merry Christmas to you. Fun holiday themed photo. The purple grey background doesn't seems a little light to me. I wonder if it were to be darkened some if it might draw attention to the foreground more. |

Peggy, As always, professionally executed. I used to love exploring new filters. You've done a great job with this one. The composition is strong, the colors are fun and it has good movement. |

Aavo, I really like this one. The way you've exploited the waves is conceptually outstanding. You've done a superb job with adding the people in this photo, good work. |

Thanks Alan. I will play with it more. I did try to increase the sky at one point and it made it look a little more unbelievable. I chose the subtler handling so it could almost past for real (a few of my friends asked me where I took it not realizing it was a photoshop image) |
