Yolanda, I like the almost psychedelic quality of the handling of the background. I might consider increasing the contrast on the main bud or reduce the saturation or other maneuverings of the background to make the foreground flower pop as it almost has a 3D like look that could be enhanced with some tweaking. |

Henry, Welcome to the group. The colors in this photo are nicely balanced. I like the effect you've created with the various sliders/filters. My only suggestion is the cropping feels too tight. I personally don't like dark elements at edges. If you were to crop less close at the top you might have to clone away the bottom leaf and stem if it is distracting. These are personal preferences, take them or leave them. |

Lisa, I like what you've done with this. The colors are really nice and there's a wonderful sense of depth. After seeing your pictures I am definitely going to have to check out the Topaz filters, very cool. |

Kathy, This is a very rich image with a lot going on. I really like the colors. I think the addition of the airplane adds some nice visual drama. I'm not sure the bird adds as much, at least given its size and positioning as it completes with the plane. I might play around with having the horizon higher up or lower down (rule of thirds), although that might be impossible given the cropping of the original image. Lastly, if you want to create drama with the bird and plane I might go the other direction with the handling of the water reflection (i.e. make it simpler rather than complex). |

Peggy, This is a very pleasing image. The impressionistic style and pastel coloring are beautiful. I think it is a very successful image. I wonder if adding a little contrast to your sun in laws face might add some interesting juxtaposition with the otherwise muted look, BUT it might not, just something I might play with and then scrap if it didn't work. I really like how he fuses with the flowers in the shoulder area, very satisfying. |

Peggy, Thanks for your feedback. I had a number of versions of my son larger and smaller and I thought it made the image look unbalanced with him larger. Always appreciate a different perspective. I will try adjusting his brightness. |

Aavo, Thanks for your suggestions. You'll have to talk with the cows mother about making her better looking. Maybe next lifetime. |

Alan, This is an excellent image. It is well crafted and leaves the viewer to bring meaning to the image. I might consider shrinking the receding woman a little more especially after she crosses thru the door to create a greater sense of depth but otherwise I'd say you've nailed it. |

Betty, This is a very interesting image. I wonder if you eliminated the girls on the right throwing the girl if it might have more mystery. I tried a version but the image size was so small I had trouble blowing up but you get the idea. |

Aavo, I too enjoyed opening this image. A very nice tribute to Monet. I might tone down the distortion in girl #3's face as it has a more surreal than impressionist look |

Alan, It's funny. The cow image was the motivation for the photo. I really have a hard time scrapping the original image. This is a little like one of my other images of the light in the forest with the water drops. That image was all about the interplay between those two elements. In the end I had to scrap the water drops as they didn't work. I will give some thought to your suggestions. Thanks. |
