Aavo, Thanks for your feedback. Recently I've been trying to capture a sense of "almost real" in my photoshop images. The bird image I took was blurry to start with and I almost deleted it when I saw it but I liked how the blur fit with the overall ethereal quality of the photo. I'll play around a little with the transparency on the wing and see if I can tweak it some, thanks. |

I was sharing your image with my 11 year old son and he wondered if you were to commit to the whimsical theme more completely and put some arms or eyes on the macaroni. Please share your final version! |

Peggy, I like this concept a lot. Very playful and a nice composition. It looks like you have a good start with the macaronis on the edge of the bowl. The ones on the desk top seem too similar in position and spacing. The more anthropomorphic you can make the macaroni the more it will sell your idea. The Pixar lamp comes to mind with this one. If you could have the macaroni face the viewer at the top of the bowl like the pixar lamp it would communicate this is a magical realism piece. I suspect you'll need to do a lot of fussing to get the macaroni to come to life more but with effort this could be a crowd pleaser for sure. |

Phillipa, This is an interesting collage. I wonder if adding some flesh tones back in the primary hand and a little white might balance the color palette. But as you say, these are your favorite colors so this may just be a personal preference. |

Alan, I like this image and feel it is strong. Reading all the struggles you've gone thru to create the final product makes me happy I'm not the only perfectionist out there. Fortunately as the viewer I just enjoy seeing the final product. I say click "save as" and move on to your June image. |

Aavo, Your image reminds me of so many images I've worked on where the elements are very intriguing but I struggle to create the final image. Your image does create mystery but I don't feel a strong message. Alan's handling, juxtaposing the face next to the girl makes me more curious of the connection between these two people (mother/daughter, self in the past/present). As it is the sand in the middle of the frame creates a divider between the top and bottom of the image. I wonder if you could create a more natural blending between the elements of the sand and waves. |
