Aavo, Thanks. No worries. It's hard for me to talk my family into no internet travel but that is when I do my best photography. Looking forward to getting to know the group in the coming months. Brad |

Alan, I appreciate the detailed feedback. I'm not sure if I fully understand your suggestion. The drop you are recommending I clone out is the one that is on the leaf or the one that is floating? I agree I see the blown out white now in the image. Sliding the splash to the left makes sense but I would have to enlarge the image then as I don't have any more image to work with. That would change the proportion of the splash and waves. Perfection is hard to achieve but its great to have suggestions to help along that path. |

Alan, Yes, that is a challenge. It is far easier to make a suggestion than to execute it. Looking forward to seeing more of your work. Brad |

Peggy, Such nice feedback, glad you appreciate the image. It's nice to hear specific feedback as most of my friends give me the thumbs up sign on facebook and that doesn't mean much. Brad |

Alan, This is very fun. I wonder if drop shadows to give these characters believable three dimensionality would sell the picture more. |

I love the painterly feel of this image. The contrast of the tack sharp fly with the blurred fountain nicely draws attention to the fly. I agree with Alan the fountain brightness is mildly distracting and enhancing the iguana in some way may sell the story more. All in all a wonderful image. |

This is a very well balanced image with wonderful color and shape. I was just at the SFMOMA and found many of the abstract images not as interesting as this image. I especially like the fact this image comes from photographing rust. |

I just joined the group so I'm learning how to share my thoughts. I've read the other comments and agree with Peggy about toning down the brightness of the inverted background. The cat eyes are so intense. I wonder if there is a way to increase the size of the cat or its face to focus the viewer on its reaction to the scary scene |

I really love this image. It isn't entirely clear what the message is which leaves room for interpretation. I might consider having the woman "floating" a little higher above the horizon creating a sense the man is searching for someone he's lost. I agree with the group making him more opaque might focus the story element. Either way it is a beautiful and atmospheric image. The texture is great, I am inspired to try adding texture to my pictures after viewing this one. |

Thanks Phillipa. Once in awhile I get inspired and I was happy with how this one came together. |
