12 Aug 25 Reply Yes i am a B&W fan for sure but in this case you are right...the rust has done it! Aug 19th
12 Aug 25 Comment Very atmospheric with lots to look at as my eye travels the land on the wall and ladder. I like the metal frame on the right handside depicting a window to peer through...outside looking in. Nicely done. Aug 16th
12 Aug 25 Comment What a forbidding place..i have not been there but your image says it all. Adding the Longhorn skull give landscape dimension and adds to the story...Great depth of field at F22. Horizon line straight and mountains in the distance help fill the frame. Nicely done. Aug 16th
12 Aug 25 Reply This is a great example of 'Near & Far'... A beautiful backdrop and the fall colours blend well with the blue sky. I think Carole's comments of getting down lower to get a different perspective would make a good image. What a great place to hike. Aug 12th
12 Aug 25 Comment I stayed here in the winter for a friend's 50th..beautiful place with stunning scenery so was intrigued to see what it looked like in summer! My eye goes first to the canoes then follows to the Chateau so a good connection here. The horizontal positioning of the canoes are a great juxtaposition for the vertical Chateau. Very nicely done. 52 Aug 25 Comment Atmospheric image with the raindrops falling as the Egret takes shelter. Great movement captured of the wings and the beak. Might have given more room above the head but overall very nice depiction of the Egret. Aug 16th
52 Aug 25 Comment Looks a great place to visit and you did really well taking this shot from a moving boat. The movement of the water contrasts nicely with the sturdy rocks. I agree with Mike's comment about cropping less on the left handside to allow more space before the rocks end. Also slightly less saturation would be good too. Nice composition. Aug 16th
52 Aug 25 Reply Thanks Mike and darkening the background would be good. I actually have a shot of just the mama & the baby both looking right at me so judging by everyone's comments this is the stronger image. I think they were Vervet Monkeys. Aug 16th
52 Aug 25 Comment Great title. Lots to look at in this image. I like how the background of the rocks compliment the colour of the ocean and add contrast to the seals. To me the brown hues of the seals look a little oversaturated but that is just my personal preference. Very nice composition. Aug 12th
52 Aug 25 Comment That is an amazazing capture and you can almost feel the energy and concentration of the birds clinging onto the cliff face sheltering from the wind. The angle of the birds takes my eye from left to right and you have great contrast in the rocks. Very nice image. Aug 12th
52 Aug 25 Comment What a great image...love the contrasts and detail in the toadstools. B&W give the image dimension..how do you darken the background in SilverEfex? It really makes the toadstools standout. A perfect composition too. Aug 12th
52 Aug 25 Reply Thanks Tom and will work on the mother baby image i think and remove the grass. Aug 12th
52 Aug 25 Reply Thanks Polly...didn't notice the weed in front of the baby but now i do so i will remove that. Aug 12th
52 Aug 25 Reply Thanks Judith..i will work more on the colour version. Aug 12th
