I like the story and think image without the wording is very strong..the light is great and compliments the Dutch Cakes. They look so appetizing so you have done well to convey this. The crop is just right too. |

Very creative image..my husband had to explain the relevance of the Dollar bills! So now i get it and what a cool image telling a story. I guess you have creative options being on board a ship. |

Very creative image and i am with Bunny on this...to me it conjures up an ocean so amazing that a close up of bread can depict this! The power of the iphone photography :)
The lighting and texture just right..well done. |

This is a very eye catching image…literally…and amazing footage with the branch in its beak. The lighting and the background compliments the Anhinga. To me I would have liked to see more of the left wing not being cropped. What is the rule of cropping wildlife? |

Composition wise it is a great image and I can feel the softness of its feathers. I agree with the other comments but I too think I have to study up on the Dodging & Burning. The sky a bit too bright for me and I would take out the Vignette as Mike suggests but otherwise a great capture of the Hawk with its lovely eyes. |

Welcome to our group Tom! Thank you for introducing us to the Sirens…and a nice capture with great detail too. The crop is perfect allowing focus on the Blue Heron's eye. Nice and sharp with good detail in the feathers. The toned down version of the greens better to me. Nicely done. |

Very nice image and like the toned down background which makes the Heron (& its lunch) stand out. I also like the textured grass in focus in the foreground offering contrast with the blurred background. I think for me i would have cropped in slightly from the RHS and removed the green leaves that Polly has suggested. |

Great drama and action makes this a compelling image. The movement of the water compliments the texture of the swan and great focusing throughout. Was this taken on a Manual setting or a Shutter Speed setting as you have captured the movement perfectly with your Shutter speed? A wonderful fairy tale for sure. |

Thanks Pamela that is definitely D'Arnaud's Barbet! I lost track of how many birds we saw so it was difficult when i got back to look through my photos. Yes agree a bit dull so i lightened it as you all suggested and looks nice now so thank you. |
