I love the water droplets on the petals, you have done a great job there. I agree with Carole about some of the petals have a softness to them and maybe the centre of the flower would have been good to have been in focus too but i guess that would need focus stacking too as Carole as suggested. A closer crop to me would have bought more emphasis to the flower. Lovely image though and the water droplets make it! |

I enjoy Macro too and you have done a wonderful job with layering of these beautiful petals. Such a softness it evokes and the colour scape is wonderful. Nicely cropped. |

Very nice with the water droplets enhancing this image. I like the one on the bottom left too which has a different reflection. You have cropped this nicely giving the viewer different dimensions of the petal. Colour throughout with the red against the white makes this a very nice image. |

This is a lovely dreamy version of a tulip petal. I like how you have used select focusing with the front petal blurred leading you directly the the one tulip petal in focus. I might have toned down the yellow petal so make it not so bright. A very nice arty composition. |

Thanks Sharon yes will look at the Transform tool in LR that might improve the imgage. Good to know that roads are not acceptable in Nature Competitions too. |

Wow what a lot of feathers to carry around! Very well documented here and the head poking through is great. Amazing how the colours of the neck are present in the feathers too. Very nice crop. Might have put a slight vignette around. |

That is a nice pose of the mule deer with its hind back leg out and looking straight at you. I like the vegetation surrounding the deer…the fern with the leaves intermingled and the trees behind. Very nice setting. Crop is just right too. |

Lovely movement of this bird inflight which you have captured so well. I like the diagonal flight of the bird as it is lifting off. Denoise has handled the noise well from the original. Great colour of the background which compliments the bird's colours. Very nice image. |

A great portrait of the Otter with the kelp adding a sense of place. Amazingly sharp with good detail in the fur and colors blending with the smoothness of the water. Love the curious look on its face! |

The motion you have caputured of this bird is wonderful The texture and sharpness draws me in and agree its a perfect still shot. I am a bit of a purist so I prefer the color of the original…to me this looks a bit overprocessed colourwise. I too prefer also the lighter background. Great image though. |

A lovely scene with a story to tell with the upturned faces of the turtles and the one making a dash with the Heron looking on. Great sharpness and detail in the turtles and the Heron. I might have blurred the grasses a bit and darkened the background to give more contrast to the Heron & the Turtles. But otherwise a really nice scene. |

Thanks Mike and now that I have looked again I see you are right and the horizon is a bit off…I will see if I can fix it without throwing off the trees. |

Thanks Judith. Yes was handheld and you are right maybe a tripod would have increased the sharpness. Is the watercolor filter in LR as that sounds interesting? |
