Great image and lots of colour and movement to hold the eye. Even the starbursts of the lights add to the drama. I too prefer to get it right in the camera so not too much editing for me but that doesn't always work! But in your case it does...wonderful image. |

There is a lot to look at in this image and i like the variants of the building in that they are all different. You have conveyed an old town feeling very well. The green of the building on the left compliments the other stone buildings and the sky is perfect. For me a person walking by would add perspective but you have addressed that. |

Great detail and colours in the pattern of the Dome and at first i thought it was a decorative plate (which would be very nice too!). We often go to Munich so i will take a look next time so thanks for sharing the history. I actually prefer Original 2 with the pillars as to me dictates an architectural form. |

Thanks Connie and yes had to move quickly as the thunderstorm was fast approaching. Would have liked to have lingered longer! Good to know about Edit/Distort. |

Thanks Carole. I was actually in the 'moat' so below the curb and thought it was a nice perspective shooting low. I took other images when i was standing on the curb so i see what you mean. I guess i was looking for a different perspective. Yes i should have had my wide angle lens! |

This image tells a story for sure and with your description it conveys how life was in the jail. The actual building with its stone facade is nicely preserved considering how old it is. I might have cropped a little off the bottom to give the building more focus. |

I really like your composition of the buildings and it depicts Houston well so a good memory for you. The different shapes of the building hold my attention. I think for me the Black & White image would be the way to go. |

A very striking sober image reminding us all of this tragic event. Nicely documented with the strong vertical line of the monument contrasting with the upright sailors. Agree with Srijan's comment about giving a little distance from the monument to the background. Might have cloned out the small white boxes on the wall behind the wall. |

This image flows so well with the waters curving round the bend and has great depth to the mountains beyond. I really like it and you have done well to stitch the 4 images together to create this. Question...would the wide angle lens that you used not have captured this whole scene too? Or was it the desired effect of making 4 images? The amended sky complements well the whole image. |

Signs of life in your patio...i like that. The detail in the leafs contrast so well with the structure of the stone. To me the crop enhances the shadow on the right which draws me to the leaves and their shadows. Very nice and thought provoking image. |

A nice capture of this bird..not sure i have seen one here in Colorado. The blueberries complements the birds colouring and very nice texture in the feathers. Sharp and good focus throughout and nice editing on the background too. |

Thanks Pamela it was a very peaceful place despite its history. Will look at cropping from the bottom to adjust the horizon line. |

Thanks Sharon and hadn't thought about darkening the foreground but think that would improve the image and your point about the horizon being in the middle is a good one as hadn't put that on my check list! |

Thanks Mike and yes a shame the moon wasn't more defined and i had my zoom lens! Ideally i wanted the shot of the moon reflecting on the water also but too much cloud and wrong lens! |

Yes i saw the dancer and Swan Lake immediately on looking at your image...such a graceful pose. Couldn't see the figurehead on rotation! It is an image to ponder. Good you cloned out the shadow on the upper right. Maybe lightening the head and beak as Sharon has suggested might add something. I like the creativity in this. |

Love this and can hear the chorus! I like the juxtaposition of the 2 birds on the right. The nest darkness has been addressed so that would be my only critique. The fence doesn't bother me. This is a great capture so well done! |

Very nice angle of the mule deer...we have a few babies here in our back yard at the moment. I like its pose and the light and texture of the deer is just right. The tall grasses really add to the image giving it context and imagining a warms summer's day. Sky background adds neutrality to the portrait. |
