It has a frenetic air about it with all the muted colors which works well. I like the fact it reflects the same colors in the original which i really like too. Nicely done. |

What a magical conversion from the original...it gives a sense of sparkle and energy coursing through it like the merry-go-round. The colours blend perfectly...nicely done. |

There is something goulish about your image and i actually love the ladder shot on its own as well. There is definitely a dancing movement.. what a great image. |

This is a great abstract image to ponder over looking at all the variations you might see in it. The colors mirror the original so well done. I am not familiar with the palette knife so a learning curve for me! Nice black surrounds makes the colours stand out more. |

Great image and when i first looked at it i saw a bird's head looking down with its eye in the centre of the image! Amazing what you interpret as the eye of the beholde. I will look up Polar Coordinates. This is definitely to me more abstract than mine! I love the colors contrasting with the blacks. |

Thanks Lisa and agree now upon reflection that it is more impressionist than abstract. |

I can feel the lion's breath...it must have been a chilly morning. Very dramatic image and the golden lighting is perfect in my opinion. Love the backlit mane too. Nothing i would change and have inspired me for my trip in October! |

Gorgeous and great job converting it to monochrome as holds my attention more. Has an artistic feel against the white background. I love the fact you captured this dragonfly not an easy feat and to get it to land on the middle flower balances the image. Might be my computer but there are a few dust spots i noticed. |

Very peaceful image and a wonderful reflection of the Grebe in the water with the golden ripples providing the movement. I agree with Sharon's suggestion of removing the foliage as an enhancement but otherwise a great image. |

A lovely close up image of this beautiful bird emphasizing its eye and beak and the flow of the feathers. You have done a great job working with the light and the shadows. I agree with the others about the softness of the feathers and Topaz has this affect. But very nice capture. |

Interesting story behind the image and i too have learnt something new about the Midshipman! I like the composition and the ripples of water contrasting against the smoothness of the feathers of the gull. As the others have suggested might have lessened the crop on the left hand side and allow room for the reflection at the bottom too. Nice action shot. |

Beautiful image and agree with the others about the Denoise in the the background which you have addressed. Such a pleasing composition with the angle of the butterfly complimenting the flowers. Gorgeous colour palette too. I might have cropped a bit on the left hand side to allow more space around the butterfly's wing. But to me a stunning image. |

Thanks Sharon and always learning when i am out in the snow but have a few months ahead to practice! Cloning would be a good idea to vary the lengths of the grasses as it does look rather severe now that i look at the image with the line in the snow that cuts them off. |

Think a mirror image would look very creative so will try the look! |

Thanks Ann and see what you mean about the line. If they are still there next winter will play around with it. |

Thanks Judith. I changed the snow to 'Cloudy' as my original shot was looking a bit blue as is often the case when photographing snow i find. However on your suggestion i changed it to 'Daylight' and it looks brighter! |
