This a wonderful mesmerizing image with lots of interest in the shapes to keep you looking. The title is perfect as it does have a lacy element! As Carole says the brightness on the left hand side is a bit distracting so maybe toning down or dehazing slightly might make it a better image. Otherwise really like..nicely done. |

Interesting technique i must try it! Flowers look frozen in time..love the colors and the bleeding affect they have. I like the various textures of the ice against the flowers. Really nice image and perfect for this month's theme. |

This is a great abstract image to me and i would crop it like Carole has done to focus more on the contrasting elements. Many different textures to look at as well as the colours of white and grey. |

A very scenic image depicting a winter wonderland. Nice movement you captured of the water. I like how you have brightened it up so you can see more detail in the rocks and the trees. Nicely done. |

A nice image of the cold outside...i like the water droplets on the grasses...what was your shutter speed? I am always trying to get a perfect image of water droplets. I agree with the others about the white spot and also a tighter crop. |

I don't think i have seen one of these before so a really interesting image for me. Macro lens perfect for this shot. The detail and colour is wonderful against the backdrop of the log. More log would be good and perhaps a slight darkening vignette might enhance the image but i like it as it is as well! Very nice. |

Great shot and i am in awe that it is so sharp at ISO12800...like the detail in the feathers and the tack sharp eye. Might have dehazed a bit to make the background a bit darker but a lovely image. Great that you have such a wonderful habitat for birds and wildlife at your ranch. We get Elk and deer wandering through our open space out back. |

To me this is my kind of image! I like how the blur conveys the movement of the heron whilst you have captured the eye sharp and even the twig. Difficult to capture both but to me it makes for an interesting perspective and i really like your technique. |

Perfect pose and like his bushy tail arching creating a nice flow of the image. Might have lessened the vignette slightly. Nice light reflecting in the eye. |

Certainly has a dreamy quality about the Dhalia...really nicely done. It sounded like an intriguing challenge with amazing results. Like the colours and nice that you added the dynamic contrast for the center as this makes it stand out. |

Thanks for your suggestion and i looked at the Remove Color Cast Filter and have now added that to my Favorites. I hadn't used that filter before and has made a difference to the image warming it up and making it less blue. |

Thanks Mike...didn't realise how 'blue' it looked till i saw your warm up version which improves the image. |

A tranquil composition and i like how you have warmed up the image with your post processing (good to learn for me). The moon to me does slightly impose upon the image and i think from my perpective i would prefer it not to be as dominant. But that is just me! Otherwise its a great image. |
