Genuine joy when there is cake to be had with kids! Great capture and really like the expressions on the boys faces. Grab shots are always fun! |

Certainly a very peaceful scene and i like how you have made the image have a dreamy quality about it. Might have chosen a smaller cup as to me it competes slightly with the scene although i appreciate you wanting to tell the story. Great light. |

Pretty in pink! Yes such a joyful baby which you have captured well. Good that you took out the poster and i really like how you have toned down the background. Did you use a large aperture? |

A great story here and when kids are playing it is a joy to watch so you captured the scene well. Glad you cropped it to focus on the activities. |

I love the way the butterfly sits diagonally on the flower...a really nice angle and the colours of each are wonderful. Mother nature is a 'joy'! Only niggle is the light spot at the top of the frame but you could crop slightly down to remove it. Otherwise a lovely image and i do like Macro photography. |

Yes i heard about the Round up and a great photographer called Scott Wilson from Denver https://www.wilsonaxpe.com/
has taken some wonderful photographs of horses from there. He then went on to win the Sony Open Photographer Award for his Mustang image from there also https://www.worldphoto.org/2022-open-competition-winners-shortlist. He was a member of my photo club in Denver where i met him years ago. |

What a gorgeous image and definitely depicts 'joy'. We have wild horses in Craig here in Colorado so its on my list to go out there and shoot so you have inspired me! I like the detail in the horse and great capture of the splash. Nice crop although i might have given a bit more room at the top if you could. Very nice image. |

Welcome Fran to our Group, nice to have you with us! Thank you for you constructive comments and do agree that the background is a bit distracting. Wish i could have opened up the aperture to create more of a blur but it was a grab shot so was focusing on the kids! I like what you have done though so thank you. |

What a lovely composition and i like how the birds are working in tandom at different angles. I too think the background of the trees and leaves are a distraction for me so Pamela's crop works well. |

I think it is a lovely composition and agree with Mike's viewpoint on the diagonal line. For me the wings of the butterfly seem a bit grainy and my eye would like to see more detail in them but i know with a Macro that is hard to capture all the subject. However very nice image and patience was your virture! |

Thanks Mike for you constructive comments as always. I think to darken the tree limb would work to add contrast so will try that. Wish the vehicle had moved so i had only the branch in view as agree think that would make a better image but such as safari life! |

What a wonderful image and that you used the Macro lens...i love using mine so it was really interesting to learn how you captured this shot. You have positioned the ants perfectly and the contrast of the texture of the leaf works really well against their black bodies. Title is great too! The only slight distraction for me but not a major one is the left hand corner is a bit dark compared to the rest of the image..not sure whether you put a vignette on it but might lighten it slightly if you did. Nicely done. |

What a wonderful capture of the movement of this Vermillion flycatcher and the added bonus of the bug. As you say no easy feat! For me i would like to see the image a bit closer but i guess that is due to the lens you used and depending whether you could crop closer in? Would like to see more of the eye as well. But a very striking image and good detail in the bird and the branch. You did better with the branch than my giraffe with the tree so a much cleaner image you have and good separation between the branch and the bird. |
