That is a strange looking Iguana! There are so many different patterns to look at on its body that this image has captivated me. I like the detail and the lighting is perfect. The crop works well too. I will be on the look out here in Vero Beach for them! |

I really like the crop of this image with the bulls eye being off centre. The sharpness of the dart is a great contrast to the blurred effect of the board at the back. Nicely done and good image for this topic. |

This is a very pleasing image. The detail in the wood has really been bought out. The curves and the circles captivate my eye and holds my attention. To me the Black & White image has more impact and you can focus more on the detail. I agree with Carole which way you flip the image is still pleasing. |

To me this conveys a powerful bit of machinery. I like the circular shape contrasting with the iron bars. I might have cropped in more from the right as the sky to me is a bit bright. Maybe bring out more detail in the structure..i use Color Efex Pro with Detail Extractor slider. |

Certainly an intriguing image and captured my attention. Added mystery of the brown box! To me everything flows well in this image and the colours complement each other. A nice thought provoking image. |

Yes you are right there is no sky! I got deceived by the blueness and the slight white flecks in the background which you could clone out but not an issue for me. For me the waterdroplet is a distraction. |

Thanks Mike i really like how you made the Color image pop...i am always nervous when i see too much distraction and an ugly background which is why i turned it into B&W to make a cleaner image. Good to know that i can venture into Color on my animal shots :)

Settings are in the description of my image..and i processed in SilverEfex Pro for the B&W. I did choose the F5 as i wanted to have a shallow DOF and to get as much light as i could on the cubs. |

I am a great fan of motion blur and this one really appeals to me. I think there is a real talent here as they are difficult to capture as you state. Were you panning the movement of the bird? The subtle colours work really well for me. I would have this on my wall! |

Nice to see the bees out to herald the beginning of Spring! I really like this image with the way you have captured the sharpness of the bee against the softness of the flower. I might have allowed a bit more space below the bee and put a bit more contrast to make the background a bit darker but other than that this is lovely. I took my macro lens to the beach today...i really like using my macro...its amazing what you can capture. |

I have never entered the world of underwater photography either but this image is very inspiring. I would have cropped also much tighter to focus on the fish which has great detail. The camera has really bought out the detail in the plant life. Not sure i can add much to this but i do like it! |

I think we are all waiting for Spring...especially here in Colorado when the blooms don't appear until early June so it was lovely to see your image! I like the composition and the way you have put the branch sweeping into the foreground. I would like to see more colour in the blossom to make the image pop more and perhaps a bit more foreground as Mike has mentioned. The images flows well. |

Thanks Pamela...it was at F5 and didn't have alot of time to really think about it before the cubs were upon us! It was a vertical shoot and just cropped abit off the bottom. Yes definitely right place right time :) |

I like the title and the fact you managed to catch this courting couple! I am impressed with your NoNoise reduction as this is a nice clean image. To me i might have cropped out the leaf poking out as a bit of a distraction and cropped perhaps not so tight on the right hand side to give the wing a bit more room. A nice story..Spring is definitely here! |

Kudos to you for your patience even if the Heron did fly off...this is still a great capture and i like the detail and sharpness of the Heron. I think you have done well to crop out all the distractions and would probably have cropped out the ed twig in front of him. I agree with Pamela also about the small spot in the water behind the Heron being cropped out. To the yellow areas are too yellow and i prefer the more subtle yellow in the original. I like how you have enchanced the colour of the sky which makes the image pop more. |
