What a beautiful sunrise which you have captured so well for this assignment! It tell such a great story. I may have cropped in tighter from the left as the two strands of grass are a bit distracting and would then give more focus on the mirror picture. Really nice image. |

I had to look at this image a while to interpret it...love the colours and that really stood out to me. The white building is a bit of a distraction for me and wonder if you cropped the scene in tighter it might have an absract feel to it. Very creative though so a good interpretation for this assignment! |

I actually like the orginal better showing the car behind as to me tells more of a story. You could have a slight vignette to lose the background at the top and crop it down abit. I like how Carole has revised your image and that is exactly how i see it too! The non original appears grainy and the powerlines in the refelction are a bit of a distraction for me. |

What an amazing reflection not only in the mirror but in the side door. Nice that car was so clean too! The leaf is a nice added touch. My only thought would be to crop out the top part of the image and focus more on the mirror and the reflection. To me my eye goes straight to the red car and then the trees. Think it be more powerful just to focus on the reflections but that's just me! Very nicely done. |

A very atmospheric scene...and i like the way my eye goes straight up the river enjoying the autumn foliage on the banks. The contrast of the blurred river movement against the wet rocks is really nice and you have brightenend up the scene well in post. |

What an adorable image...i don't think i have seen owlets before so thanks for sharing! How interesting they look. Good catchlight in the eye of the centre owl. I also think lightening the image a tad would be beneficial and maybe bring out more detail in the feathers with one of the filters of ColorEfex Pro if you use that. I like the colour of the background and works well with the owlets. Very nice and unusual image. |

Exquisite came to mind when i first saw your image. What a graceful Phoebe enhanced by your composition of it perching on the branch. To me it does not compete with the branch but adds to it. The leaves are wonderful and in perfect uniform. If i was going to do anything i would perhaps bring it in a bit and just crop the last leaf out on the right. Very pleasing image. |

I love this image and it conveys a wonderful abstract feel which
you have cleverly done by selecting just the 2/3 leaves. Colours all in harmony with a great bokeh effect for the background. I think Lisa's suggestion of isolating just the one flower would be nice also. I have never seen a Ginko tree so will be looking that up! Would gladly put this on my wall! |

What a great composition and i like the way you have placed the pine cones in the image. Lovely autumnal feel knowing that winter is on it way! Great colours too. My only distraction is that i would like to see more detail in the pine cones...not sure if you could bring them out more in ColorEfex Pro? Agree with Judith that they also appear abit soft so some sharpenening might improve this.. |

Thanks Mike and your comments have really helped me. I will look at doing also just the single hippo. I was in discussion with another photographer friend and his opinion was better to capture the animal in its entirety but i actually like the partial crop so it was interesting feedback from you...thank you! |

I like your abstract! It really focuses in and leaves you to ponder the scene. Yes agree that darkening would improve the image. Thanks! |

Thanks Lisa...yes i suppose it is all about personal perspective. I wanted to convey to the scene that there was more than one hippo present enjoying the lunch! |
