Thanks Kerstin and i like your High Key suggestion. For me as a personal choice i think i prefer my crop as i like the feeling of speed she creates from pushing her poles! But thanks anyway always good to have another perspective :) |

Looks like a perfect Sunday! The rolls are so crisp and sharp and so tempting! You have done a great composition and everything works...Vignette a nice touch too. |

Yes agree its great fun to shoot the Hummingbirds and here in Colorado i think they are about to leave too! We don't have a Hummingbird feeder (as bears are active in our area) but instead i have plant pots and they seem to love them so i combine shooting them amongst the plants so best of both worlds. I like how you have captured this one to the scale of the feeder and the colours work well. The bird is a little soft but works with the vignette. I try and shoot at a high shutter speed if can and around F5.6 but easier said than done! |

Such a cute and cozy photo and am sure Cotton thinks so too! I like the composition with the front paw across the body and the rest of the body ing round to fit into the basket. Nice contrast of the strong detail in the basket against the softness of the fur. Agree with Carole about sharpening just the eyes but apart from that a great iamge. |

What a great story to bring to this image...sounds a perfect Sunday. I love to read too but i am old fashioned and love books...haven't mastered the kindle! I really like the composition and kudos to you for your processing skills. To me the light is perfect and has a soft glow. Your tablet in itself tells a story! |

That looks a pretty good set up to me and its more or less what we do too except the early part for me! The composition really works. Slight glare coming off the Ipad but difficult to photograph glass...the ISO seems high was that because you were indoors? Would have perhaps touched the Contrast slider to take the glare off the chair. A pleasing image though and definitely a great one for a Sunday! |

I think i want to come over to you for dinner on Sunday! What a vibrant and colourful image and i love the fact that it is a family tradition....it tells a story. I am a great fan of vegetables...growing up in England with my parents growing all our own vegetables makes me reminscent! Your granddaughter did a great job posing the veggies and i like how you have included the hands. A bit more space at the top of the image to me would have added more balance. Nicely done and hope you enjoyed your dinner! |

Thanks Sharon...i too looked it up and i think it is a Broad-tailed Hummingbird which we get a lot of in Colorado. This one though was definitely in distressed and just appeared to be resting so i was lucky to have the opportunity to catch him. Yes a vignette worked so thank you for your suggestion. |

Lovely butterfly moment and you have captured a great composition with their display. Good job on the crop and on the clearing up of the foliage. I would perhaps like to see the butterflies a bit lighter in colour. I also like those filters you chose in Color Efex Pro. A very pleasing image. |

Yes you are right i posted a different one (took several!) with the square crop...here is the original one i submitted and now with the square crop...I was worried that the blurred flower in the right hand corner might be a distraction which is why i cropped it so tight..

I love this image with its moody layers leading my eye right up to the distant hills beyond Tumtum Mountain. I think you have done an excellent job in post and bringing a touch of colour to the sunset completes the image. Perfect as it is to me! |

Love the title! Great light and i like how you have captured the movement conveying a sense of purpose.. The only thing i would have done is cropped tighter especially at the top as it is a bit bright. Otherwise really nice image.. |

I really like the composition of this lovely orchid and i think the bokeh would have worked if it wasn't so bright. When i shoot my flowers i mainly use my macro lens and a wide aperture so the background is mute. I appreciate though you wanted the bokeh! The right hand petal to me seems a bit soft but doesn't detract from the wonderful colour and simplicity of the orchid. Kudos to you also practicing your photoshop layers...something i need to learn! Good job! |

I think you have done a great job in post and i like the contrast between the Milky Way and the smoothness of the water flowing. The colors blend well together. Couldn't quite get close enough to see the detail in the dark rocks on the right so might have cropped in a bit. Otherwise i really like this image and to me it does not feel overprocessed. |

Thanks Mike and you know i did think it was a bit of a tight crop on the right so i went back into it and did a square crop which also worked so thank you for your suggestion. |
